DailyWire+ Reviews

Good content in a not so good App

The_keF on

Netherlands

I enjoy the content that is available on DailyWire+ but I am not a fan of the app. Reading the news section is all fine and it is easy to get to the latest episodes of things. But when you are listening or watching to something specific, it is a hurdle to navigate. There is no way to pin the podcasts you are listening to, and when you pause to watch or listen to it later you have to remember where you were. Also there are no options for bookmarks for certain parts of the content you’d like to highlight and review for later on. There is much to improve upon here. But other than that, a good conservative platform with high quality content.

Good content, Bad app!

iamTvB on

Netherlands

Really bizar how bad this app is in remembering the show you are currently watching. Also all sorts of bugs with headphones and other stuff. Good content, the app is a good reason to stop my subscription if this does not change fast!

A pretty bad app that needs to be updated

Agapelion on

Netherlands

It’s good enough to act as a portal to the DW+ content. But it desperately needs to be updated for newer iPads, allow for landscape use of the app, and it needs to move the player head for video out of the way of the home indicator on Home-Buttonless iPads.

Black app screen

LP_NL on

Netherlands

Upgraded to 1.8.5 now the app is nothing more than a black screen. No response whatsoever. On IOS 15.6 iPone 11 pro

App for Apple TV worth 1 Star

pnaal on

Netherlands

Reviewing here the App for Apple TV but leaving 3 stars cause it does not apply to the iOS app. The ergonomic of the Apple TV app is a catastrophe. No real menu, extremely bad sorting, you need to scroll down to hopefully find the show you’re looking for. I expect way better from the Dailywire, especially if they want to bring an alternative to Netflix and Amazon Prime. They have a lot to learn on application designing. There should be categories; documentaries, shows, films, series, backstages and at least some sort of sorting.

Dark mode & continue playing

Eptesicus on

Netherlands

Two features I’d love to see are dark mode and continue watching. The latter is sort of there already but doesn’t work properly. I sti have to screenshot where I’m at and then skip back to it the next time I watch again

Good app

samuelvisser on

Netherlands

After a rocky start, the app became quite stable and usable. At this moment the thing im most annoyed by is that if a livestream ends and ur a hit behind, playback just stops. You have to wait about a minute for the recording of the livestream to show up, and then again find the position where u left. Its a overal badly working design and i would love to see this changed

The daily wire app was fantastic in its beginning. Over time it degraded it’s business to be just like that of its competitors. It shares the exact same over done and over run celebrity gossip stories. Has little variation from any other news networks. It’s hosts now offer personalized insults to same said celebrities they use to say to “stop talking about them”. They once understood that the gossip was free advertisement and now they actively participate in the same game. They have allowed personal insults to people who do NOT deserve it. Such as Michael Knowles referring to a man at the Olympics a loser because his girlfriend proposed to him. How he would know these people so personally to pass some the judgments he made on them is fascinating. The fact the daily wire allowed such an article reflects the loss in care about quality. Michael also claimed no argument was needed for said article but that he was right because no counter argument was available to his knowledge. I really don’t care about his personal feelings. I care an argument with personalized insults was passed on innocent people with no facts. Statistics, studies to be sited or reference as to how his argument was true. At this point he could have gone on the View to share his personal views as facts. I’m not making a simple complaint. I paid for this service and supported this company because of the values it started on. I do hope this is considered in future publications so that what is still of good value is not lost to be just like everything else.

Like the service, hate the app

Yall can’t even play an MP3 properly. Have to listen to morning wire on podcast app instead of the paid subscription gated app. Really sad.

Terrible on Apple TV 4K

Cerveza30 on

United States

Content is great, but I see some new content on my phone, go to pull it on on the TV via Apple TV and the content is not even there. Or, app won’t even open / update to get recent content without rebooting Apple TV. And yes, Apple TV is updated. Would be great to be able to use my subscription on my TV.
