This makes shortcuts 10x more powerful because you can call and set persistant database values. And it works perfectly. Just get it and leave a tip!

It's Makes Handling Files, Text & Images Easy In Shortcuts.

I know longer have to store anything within a shortcut like text, images or files. That's Data Jar job, which is great because I don't have to go to 5 different shortcuts to change some information with things change. I just go to one place which is Data Jar and changes everywhere. I'm realling hoping this app goes to $20.00 subscription just because I want to make sure the app stick around and free isn't the remodel for this app. But, hey that's just my two cents for what it's worth.

DataJar is like being handed the KEYS to the candy store. See what I did there? Get this app and say goodbye to your free time. It is the world’s deepest rabbit hole. I never want to stop exploring.

If you make shortcuts this app is a must have!

Been using the app for several weeks now. All I can say is this app is awesome. I’ve built several shortcuts that wouldn’t have been nearly as easy to make or as responsive to use without having Data Jar. My only slight feedback/request for a future version would be the ability to protect all the data or only certain data stores with Face ID. Otherwise the app is perfect. Make sure to tip the developer for such an awesome app!!

So great!

One thing I’d love to see added would be widget support. Would be great for monitoring status of a stored values without needing to open anything.

Amazing app and developer

If you like Apple Shortcuts or are learning how to develop them, this app is a MUST. When I learned JSON, this app became very easy and convenient to use. I recently used it for a project where I setup a flow of shortcuts to save App Store icons, store app info and base64 values as well as the image urls to create visually pleasing menus. This would've been so much work without Data Jar. I now have all this info easily accessible between my devices, in a visually-pleasing format. Thank you, Simon!

Great app, missing Boolean action

Love the app, fills in the gap of needed global values for Shortcuts. Has most related actions, except for one glaring miss. Since you allow Boolean type values, where is the Boolean action to set a value? Worth the tip jar, thanks!

amazing app- one suggestion

PiRubiksCube13 on

this app is super useful and i have a suggestion for the developer- create folders for values. i have upwards of 50 values at this point, a lot of them are for shortcuts that use 5-10 stored variables. it would be nice to be able to put them in folders corresponding with the shortcut they belong to, just so it's easier to find things in the app. it gets very cluttered when you start using a lot of values. love the app tho! ive been able to do so much more with shortcuts since downloading. oh and left a little something in the tip jar :)
