Keeps freezing!
Data camp is great but this app is not. Every time I try to use it it seems to lose connection and I get a wheel of death. It doesn’t save my progress on a unit so I have to redo it over and over again. Super frustrating!

Interesting mix of well organised interactive courses. Good mix of simpler quizzes after a videos on a new topic, with harder follow ups to test knowledge. Great option to revise topics already passed and retain existing knowledge
Ahead of my feedback, I do think what Datacamp are doing and what they offer is seriously impressive! So, please see my recommendations as constructive! :) Whilst the learning material is incredibly comprehensive, the following would enhance the user experience significantly: 1) Allow the user to download the content on the phone. I often commute into work and the signal isn’t powerful enough to download the lessons, or coursework. To be able to do this ahead of my commute would be really helpful, so that I can do them on my commute would be SUPER helpful (I’m sure I’m not the only one!). Or perhaps there’s another way, ie you can limit the quality of the visuals based on the network strength (like Spotify do to load songs quick)... 2) Every time a user completes a module (in a track), they should receive a certificate of completion. They should be then able to see their completed modules alongside their certificates in their certificates portfolio. 3) The certificates of completion should be: a) Signed and dated by the DataCamp tutor, or authorised person. This is a function of Memo (similar app - but better gamified), so the certificates have greater significance to people that want to show their bosses etc. or are interviewing. b) Viewable and downloadable certificates (of courses, tracks, etc) in the app as PDFs. c) The user should get an automatic email sent to them with the certificate as PDF on completion. 4) The current user experience of trying to find personally started tracks, or favourited travks is complicated and unintuitive. A user should be able to ‘favourite’ or ‘add track to library’. It’s unclear how you save tracks or add tracks to your library. 5) The tracks and courses in the library should be easier to filter on. There should be a mechanism by which a user can filter on their: A) Tracks. Here they could view their tracks either by: saved and not stsrted, saved and started, saved and completed, or all the above B) Courses. Here they could view their courses either by: saved and not stsrted, saved and started, saved and completed, or all the above 6) Finding tracks in the ‘Tracks section’ is complicated and unintuitive to use. You’re just greeted by heaps of unordered tracks with a search bar. Quite unuseful IMO. And SO MUCH GOOD STUFF IS HIDDEN!!! As a user, you want to be able to view the tracks in a somewhat ordered format (as a whole), so you have a better understanding of how incredibly comprehensive the DataCamp store
The questions in the rail challenges often have the wrong answer. Bit embarrassing really.
I did one lesson of python for beginners before hitting a paywall of £35 a month. Have I missed more free content along the way somewhere? Or is this meant to cost so much?
Can I just say a big thank you to whole team from DataCamp, I am 39 years old and could not afford to go College or University to study SQL & Python due to full time working, personal life and cost. With DataCamp I can study anytime and anywhere I want. Easy to follow and learn, there’s transcript, subtitles and always replay the video if you want to just go through it again. Hope to get certified by end of the course.
Throughly enjoying learning to code with this app. Keeps bringing me back.
Who are interested in Data Analysis and also for Amateur Software Developers that look for a challenge.
I love that I can flick between using the app and the online version. This is pretty seamless. The content is really good with lesson videos and slides that can be referred back to when needed during the exercises or even later. Improvements: Please can you add some training on using git repositories and branching. Also please can you make it easier to follow more than one track at a time? I like to code in the morning and do theory in the evening. I lost the track I was working through when I enrolled in a second.
Totally recommend for practicing data tools
