The app is awesome, before I came across dawn I emailed the creator of another minimalist calendar app with a list of features that would make it a miles ahead app, and somehow dawn read my mind perfectly. However… only thing that’s missing is interactive widgets and Apple Watch support. The set up I currently have on my desk is phone in standby mode with Dawn todo list displayed as one widget and “Focused Work” app pomodoro timer as the other. The pomodoro is completely interactive which is perfect, smashing away at tasks it would be nice if I could check tasks as done on the dawn widget. I hate when I go on my phone to do something small and then the doom scroll takes over, I’m trying to minimise this by using my Apple watch for everything and Dawn is the app I want to stick with for all my day to day stuff so it would be awesome to get these features.

I absolutely love dawn and have used it every day for over a year now. I have the premium version which to me is worth the cost. I love the aesthetic of it, as well as the features. I love being able to make lists for specific events to help me prepare for them. I also enjoy the different widget options, and how good they look on my home screen. I’ve just purchased an iPad and I was sad to find out that the app hasn’t been adapted to the larger screen, and I can’t connect my account from my phone to my iPad. That would be ideal for my organisation. Would be 5 stars with that feature!

I was searching hard for a calendar app that looked really nice (with beautiful widgets) and was simple and intuitive to use, as opposed to other calendar apps where there are 20 optional fields every time you add a new event and it feels like a chore. This is one of those apps where it looks clean and minimalist but you know the build was anything but simple. Also love the haptic feedback.

This app has so many nice touches. Like the space focusing feature. And the subtasks. A nice upcoming view. There are some improvements I would still like. For instance, I would like there to be a subtasks and note indicator next to the task on the daily and upcoming views. That way you know to open up the task for more detail. But other than that, I’m loving the simplicity and calm I get from using this.

The simple nature of this Apple makes it really easy and visually pleasing to organise events on your calendar. Although missing some features and some fine tuning this is definitely my favours calendar app.

Highly recommend this if you have any sort of organisational issues. I’m currently working 3 part-time jobs whilst studying, and was struggling with timings and visibility. The free version means you need to manually enter events (can’t sync calendars unless you purchase the paid version) but I personally don’t mind at all, I like having the control of entering events from my 3 calendars into Dawn. The ability to add task notes and locations is wonderful. Also doubles as a to do list! Great UX and really clean design, simple, intuitive and neat. Love it.

Loving the minimalist design of this app and the ability to schedule things flexibly but simply. I love the options to look at one day, every day in a list or the months in a heat map. Just to look at one day in a simple list rather than an intimidating looking busy blocked out day week or month is a relief. My only current wish is that I could schedule things like birthdays or public holidays that aren’t actually events or todos, without them coming up as todos and contributing to the heat map. (I LOVE the heat map as a tool, and don’t want it distorted by these entries!) Currently using the free version and it’s mostly all I need. It would be nice to make lists, and the subscription is well priced if I decided I wanted to be able to do that. Buying outright is a bit expensive, but I am pleased to see that it’s an option as that’s generally my preference.

I’ve had dawn for about 2 weeks now and I love it. You definitely need the premium to get the most out of the app (mainly syncing calendars) but the price to me seems reasonable compared to other similar apps. I love that you can change the settings for each calendar you have synced which is an excellent feature. The only thing I ask is within this feature a way to toggle whether the calendar effects the heat map. I have calendars that are for local and national holidays and, even though I am not doing anything on those days, they count as an event and contribute to the heat map. Apart from that the only minuscule thing would be if you could make all the app colour variations available in dark and light and also being able to change the widget colour as well. I’ve just started using dawn. It is designed beautifully and all the functions of the app are very intuitive with many great features. However there are some major improvements I would suggest 1. Have the option to have the finish time of events displayed on the weekly schedule list 2. The to do list which auto populates in spaces to be listed in order of the events date rather than date added 3. To have the different spaces be colour coded on the weekly schedule 4. Increased ability to customise repeat events - eg repeat every week for next 4 weeks or until set date

Needs a colour coding option or some other way of differentiating certain tasks.
