This is a good app. If your rolling in doe and are willing to spend $30 dollars to read the description of ice knife!!! I love DnD and it breaks my heart that the games official app is taken over by greed. I really hope that you read this Wizards of the Coast because I am disgusted by how little you give us for free and how you want us to pay outrageous prices for your stupid books. For your information I own monsters of the multiverse and I’m not buying it again so I can make my kenku sorcerer for the next game I’m playing. I have a solution. If you just come up with some way to verify that people own a book then you can just let them have the digital version. I got this app for convenience, not to gain information I didint have. I a bet that’s true for a lot of people. So please do a favor to those of us not of noble background and find some way to make us not have to buy books we already own or make it have more free info. I hope you read this and take some of it to heart. Maybe one day I’ll have my kenku sorcerer and use ice knife.
I like dnd beyond. It makes making character sheets simple and easy. However, you only have access to the basic classes, spells, and races at first. Most everything else you have to buy. Most of the time, I just use the website to look up the information I need, because I like races like Tabaxi and Kobold, which aren’t free in the app. I mostly enjoyed it though, good app.
I'm digging a hole A diggy, diggy hole. I rolled a critical failure and the cave collapsed.
No complaints otherwise. 😊
Very user friendly. Quick to make characters, keep track of them, and look up items. Well worth having.
I love the app entirely, especially the simplicity of character creation, however, as far as I’m aware there is no way to upload books I’ve bought.
This deserves a 3 stars purely because DNDbeyond has not fixed the issue on mobile where viewing a sourcebook reverts the text to the barest of essentials such as times new roman, old early 2000s website format, so on. It used to work but after a specific update, it has become a shell of what it could be. I can barely read any of the text of descriptions if I wanted to view it from the app.
Lots of great functions and content but the service is incredibly slow. I don’t know if it’s a data hog or poorly optimized but sometimes it’s not usable for play.
Love the character creator and all that but be prepared to break out your wallet if you want to do anything other than the bare minimum.
