Libre app so much better

ShannnnXxx on

United Kingdom

Although the dexcom device may be more accurate with readings itself, the functionality of the dexcom app is painfully basic. In the libre app you would be able to see a graph of the readings, be able to zoom In to areas on the graph to see individual readings at certain times when spikes/drops occurred to see specific readings at those times. But the main thing the libre app had that the dexcom app doesn’t, as well as a graph, you could also see a number log of every updated reading over a 24 hour period in list form incase you couldn’t read the graph. The absence of either of these features, only having a basic graph and a current exact reading, no previous readings of the past hour at least, makes it very hard to monitor or manage.

Complications for iwatch

Simasims on

United Kingdom

Seems a shame that the complications as mentioned on dexcom website are not available on iwatch. It would be ideal to see the actual levels displayed in the middle of the clock face especially as a parent of a young child whose blood glucose levels I need to follow carefully throughout the day relying on getting updates in my watch face. Where is this feature? Also agreed about the notifications and alarms on iwatch as previous review it’s not reliable enough, some times it just doesn’t notify me.

Not receiving alerts

JoLoCo100 on

United Kingdom

Same issue, I don’t receive alerts from my son’s Dexcom sensor/mobile. All seems set up correctly, all notifications on. It was working then for some reason stopped and for many months unable to resolve the issue, so now manually checking and also sleeping in same room overnight so I hear alerts from his Omnipod controller which isn’t ideal. Medtronic’s CareLink app’ for parents/carers was so much better, able to pick up insulin delivery also as well as graph readings. All in one place rather than having to use the Glooko app in addition to Follow. Love the Omnipod 5 and Dexcom 6 together, a further game changer, but please sort the app soon.

Inconsistent

catwomanjm82 on

United Kingdom

I’ve been using Dexcom follow for a few months to monitor my daughters T1 but it often has signal loss, although her g6 app is connected ! The alerts are set but they rarely work which is very concerning particularly at night if she has a hypo. I’m waking all hours of the night worrying and having to get up and check. It does connect to my Apple Watch which is useful (when the app works). Her app is temperamental and she will have to delete it and restart. The 2-hour warm up isn’t ideal either, it’s far too long - if the other CGMs have a much quicker warm up, why can’t the g6? Thinking about moving over to Libre 2+ now it’s available in the UK.

No way to stop alerts covering the readings

DL-12345 on

United Kingdom

For anyone who would like to place the iPad with the open app on a night stand so that glucose levels can be visible throughout the night, the iPad app is disappointing . There doesn’t seem to be any way of preventing alerts obscuring the reading and therefore requiring a blurry eyed press of OK in the middle of the night. Why? The phone app doesn’t do this, and anyway the number or lack of a number clearly indicates the issue. We know what these mean. We see them every single day of our lives, multiple times. Then there is the random open app disappearing requiring more blurry eyed interaction to bring it back on screen. Come on Dexcom, these are school children programming errors. Just get them fixed. This week!

Non-functional

Thiswilldoiguess on

United Kingdom

Unable to accept invite to share readings, app just says invite used already

Alerts don’t always go off

Sbunce74 on

United Kingdom

I leave my phone unlocked and screen on all night so I can check for highs or lows. This is because the follow app rarely goes off once it reaches my set lows or highs. I have spoken with tech support about this multiple times and nothing seems to work. This means I don’t sleep a full night. It also means the app is failing to do its job. Change it, and change it soon!!!!! Or I will find an alternative.
