Diarly: Diary, Private Journal

Ever since I got Diarly, I’ve loved it. I love keeping journals. I love keeping several journals at the same time and this is the perfect app to do it on. I have my day to day diary, and one for travel, and one for business. It is always updating and adding features. It is by far one of my favorites.

This app is great. You can customize SO MANY THINGS and all of these settings are absolutely amazing to behold. And the search function is better than I ever could've dreamed - you can search by links, files, etc. It's almost enough to make me feel so comfortable about the app that I just immediately start using it. Almost. One make-or-break thing for me is the timestamp marker. Whether you can see the exact time and date of each entry. Don't get me wrong - the timestamp marker does exist. And technically you could put all entries of one day into the same entry, and that would make it automatically add a new timestamp for each entry. But that, I reasoned, would make it difficult to search for specific entries. While you can easily manually add a timestamp separator (or just a timestamp) anywhere, I would prefer for it to be automatic. And for it to show up on each entry, even if they're separate. That would be great. And another suggestion, if I may. I would love it if there were some way to "mark some part of a message as a spoiler" (the way you can do it on discord by ||encasing a message like this|| is the kind I'm talking about). This would help me greatly when there's something I want to journal but don't want to look at, or if I'm describing some puzzle to myself and want to allow myself to attempt to figure it out myself before I show the answers. If these are implemented, I'm switching over to Diarly immediately!!

I discovered that journaling is a great way to express my thoughts. This is a great app and I’m glad I tried it.

When there is a problem your not ignored, they respond fast and normally have a fix within days. Not like other apps that ignore you cause they don’t care. They care about their customers and their apps performance. Awesome app. Does it have bugs? Yes! but what app doesn’t? Plenty of features. Great price for those that need more options and its yearly not monthly. I have been with them for 5 years and counting. I am here to stay. No other diary app can come close not one. Enjoy. Believe it or not it saved my life. Don’t believe me I wrote a book about getting clean off doctor induced Vicodin addiction this app was with me from day one. Helping get threw every horrible part in recovery. From seeing how much I got done everyday to being able to track what I could and could not eat when I had bad days and good days. It kept me going just to see the celebration of making my word count daily to seeing my improvements from day to day. I recommend this to everyone and have had many friends and book purchasers download and even wrote me that the app was awesome. Enjoy your journaling in a digital format. No more big bulky books and one more thing. You can add pictures tags and even look up a certain incident in the search bar. Plus it does log in mindfulness minutes in the apple health app. Awesome just awesome. Well worth a try. You’ll fall in love with it fast. This is very easy to use and is available on many platforms. It even sinks to Grammer check. Very nice.

Love the themes and templating but hate the user experience of actually trying to journal. Scribble with Apple Pencil works like garbage which is bizarre for a journaling app for iPadOS. Additional usability issues with dynamic type for low vision users makes note titles and other elements so truncated they’re useless.

I really love this app, it synchronizes on all my devices. I can find my notes very easily. And it never crashes. Keep up the good work!!!

I am actually enjoying this app-however I am having an issue but when I trying to click “report an issue” the link is broken. When I click contact us, the link is broken. So I am posting a mediocre review in the hopes that someone will see it. I can not get rid of what I imagine is typewriting tool bar at the bottom of the app. I know you have instructions to do so but it won’t go away-therefore when I get lower and lower on the page I can’t see what I’m writing. It’s very frustrating. I have now spent 30 minutes trying to get rid of it and trying to figure out how to contact you instead of journaling.
