DietBet: Lose Weight & Win!

This app is a scam. It looks very professional and makes you think it’s a great way to lose weight and maybe make some money to reward yourself - but in fact it’s a scam. I have just joined 6 months challenge to loose 10% of weight. Typical bet is 40$ a month but there was an option of upfront $200 payment (which means you save 1 months) - I joined this option. I was given 7 hour to submit initial weight-in which requires picture of electronic scale results, special word and full size picture. After running around looking for electronic weight scale during my lunch break - I submitting required photos. And was disqualified as one of my photo was not forward facing. I was not given an option to resubmit the photo. And my Home Screen on the app is not in a permanent “processing your data” mode. So this is 100% a scam activity

I love this app, nothing else seems to work for me. If you’re serious about loosing weight, I’d advise to become a member (I think it’s only $50 per year?) and then you can play “members only” games, where you can bet $100 and then share the whole pot (no fees taken by DietBet). And you can play 3 games at once, so choose where you can bet the most money. So, unless you’re a millionaire and don’t care to lose $300 per month - this is a great motivator for me. Oh and you actually do win some money too. For it was $23-32 per month. So my membership paid for itself already and there are still some extra left. I’ll try and play until I reach my goal weight - so a couple of years maybe.

Hate the new version of the app. Hard to read and navigate. There is no longer a time-countdown when final weight-in is needed, making it really hard for ppl outside PST time zone to use it. The old version was much better and easier to use.

I really wanted this app to deliver and I’m so glad it did. Putting my own money on the line has been an amazing motivator and I’ve seen results. So happy 🥰

Just downloaded this for the first time and true to log-in using Facebook (as the page suggests). And I get a “user:k.authenticateWithFacebook}}}is undefined” error code. Facebook login works fine with all my other apps.

I’ve noticed a red number when the app is closed, on opening the app there are no new notifications. I cannot make the red number go away.

I love the concept of DietBet and have just entered for the second time. I like the accountability it gives me. The frustrating thing is that you can ask lots of questions in the forum but it appears there is no admin/moderator answering them. I think that is very poor as when you’re first starting there are things you don’t know. My rating would have been higher but for this issue.

Really great way to find a community of like-minded people who encourage & inspire each other. Good fun & really straightforward.

I have been a part of this community for a few days and I can’t believe the support, motivation and enthusiasm not only from the hosts but the players. The app is easy to use and I ended up joining two games.
