Way to basic

Will move on to it when the basic features are all there. Also think of a way to help us migrate.

Good Password Manager

Please change the app icon, it looks horrible. Also add the option to choose between dark mode and light mode. Other than that, overall..it’s a good password manager.

Could be better

Switched over to this from Lastpass as loved that it was included as part of my subscription. The app itself is very easy to use and navigate (I’d expect nothing else from the Dropbox design team 🤟) but as others have commented, the functionality is a little basic. Most annoying thing is not being able to create a new login/password at the time I actually need it in the browser. You have to close the browser, find and open Dropbox passwords, create a new login, copy that password, and then go back to the browser and paste it in. Very frustrating!

Disappointing password manager offering the bare minimum

Pros - Saves your password and allows you to autofill - Don’t have to fork out extra money if you have a Dropbox subscription Cons - Passwords don’t sync across devices properly - some devices will have up to date passwords, the others won’t (password sync was the primary reason for me using this app!) - Support are pretty much useless and if you don’t have a subscription you get no support at all - Passwords can’t be saved or created without having to close what you’re doing, creating or recording the credentials on the Passwords app before going back to the original app to input those generated details. Overall very disappointing when taking into comparison other (free!) password managers on the market.

Rubbish

Complete load of rubbish, downloaded this onto my iPhone, then tried to link it to my computer, the app doesn’t actually send you a notification to confirm a second device, it simply send you an email with instructions which don’t actually link your device. Complete and utter rubbish. Leave the passwords to the experts dropbox. You are not an expert in this field.

Great app for Mac and iPhone but no iPad version

I am using Passwords since it’s launch on my MacBook Pro and iPhone and I am really pleased with it. I just bought the latest iPad Pro and I am disappointed to see that the Dropbox team didn’t yet design an app fully dedicated to the iPad. I hope this is something in the making, as I am paying a lot for using Dropbox Pro and would really much like all apps to be compatible with all devices and screen ratios. Is it because Dropbox is planning a Safari extension for iOS now that Safari on iPad support extensions?

Basic but effective

Great value add to have this app included with the Dropbox membership. Basic functionality but does exactly what I need. Dropbox, please it going!

No iPad version?

Seems like a massive omission not to have an app designed for the iPad - just an enlarged iPone version.

Basic but it works

This app is intuitive and easy to use, and its accompanying browser extensions work well. It’s great that this is included in Dropbox’s plan —a good selling point when weighing up password managers (especially as LastPass is going premium). One big omission for me is the ability to add notes - both appended to websites and as stand alone entries. This is something I frequently use on LastPass, and I couldn’t fully commit to this service without this (seemingly basic) functionality.

Not Bad

This is not a bad password manager but it really needs folder or categories to organise passwords!
