Nice work Proton
Really like the Proton collection of apps as an alternative to gmail, however I do wish the software team would add Face ID and pin security to this Pass app.
Decent start, keep growing it
I suppose it would be useful for those who don't have anything else and like the convenience of the Proton product family. However, much superior options exist, free of charge, with high security out there. Let's see how this grows. To start with, I'd like to see version management. Adding one star with the release of support for secret sharing.
It’s a beauty
Has revolutionised my security, no more are all my passwords the same. And it auto fills. Yey!
Feels buggy
I don't doubt the security of this application, but some basic operations are buggy. For instance, I try to edit a secure note by moving the cursor within the text. A fairly normal thing to do when editing text. But after one keypress (adding a character or delete) it always jumps to the end of the text. So editing is almost impossible.
Teething Issues…
Still a new application so naturally buggy. Has some issues like not suggesting an alias or password when creating a new login, cancel button doesn’t work if you’re trying to exit out of the Pass app in Brave browser, not filling in complete passes in fields when selected from within the pop up app to name a few. Design and usability wise it looks and feels great, just hoping the functionality gets patched soon.
Missing web interface
I’m in the library on a public computer, so no ProtonPass extension installed. No way to get my password out of ProtonPass in those situations. You need to be able to log onto a proton pass website.
Can't import passwords
Option missing to import passwords, so pretty much useless for me

I love proton mail and have used it for years so I thought I’d have a go at their password manager. I find it too bizarre. I downloaded the app and then tried to familiarise myself with its interface. First of all it said I have to use a browser extension which I didn’t expect as I don’t use any of the browsers it works on. There doesn’t seem to be a way of copying passwords from iOS keychain automatically so it would take hours manually. I would then have two passwords systems on my phone and to what end as keychain works perfectly anyway? I clicked on something to check it out and it informed me a password had been generated and saved but for what? I applaud Proton for all they do to protect our security but I don’t see the point of this app.
Better than the rest.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, as Proton do often have half-baked products (cough cough drive) However, I was pleasantly surprised. I prefer the design to Bitwarden, not that you actually open the app much. It does also allow you to create alias emails from the app which is very helpful and even integrates with SimpleLogin (although if you don’t have a SimpleLogin account it does still work). Finally, I trust Proton’s security more. LastPass got hacked and Bitwarden realised they suffered a similar flaw. While Bitwarden has attempted to fix this, I trust Proton more to not have these kind of issues.
