Signed up for the week trial. During sign up, the app promises to notify you when the trial is about to expire so you don’t have any surprise charges if you don’t want to commit to a year subscription. The app does not warn you of this trial ending and I know this because of my negative bank account balance. Now I’m stuck with a $99 charge and a subscription to an app I used once. Hooray.
I love this simple game!
I love the photos with the words. It’s how kids learn and I am associating the words with things and actions and not having to translate in my head. I love that. However- it’s culturally wrong. I’m learning Hebrew and for calendar photos they have xmas symbols in December and Easter symbols in April and they have clear non-Shabbat symbols for Friday and Saturday. The English letters aren’t intuitive for the Hebrew sounds - lots of q letters - the phoenetics just aren’t helpful and some exercises require writing in these weird English phonetics. But it’s fun and I’m learning overall.
I have been struggling to find a good resource for learning Hungarian and this has finally hit the spot! I am still early on - I wish there was a bit more insight into formulating sentences, but maybe I’ll get into that later on. If not, sending a note out to the creators to create modules that go past vocabulary. But otherwise - this has been so helpful! Love the picture format for learning and the app is very user friendly. I paid for premium outright and think it’s very worth the value. Would 100% recommend.
Today I scheduled for 10:00 A.M lessons to speak Tagalog since I couldn’t find any other app that teaches you it. I wanted to learn how since my family is Filipino but I still didn’t know how to speak this language yet except a few small things. I learned at least 100 new words from this app, Salamat! 🥰
