Drum School is divided in five main sections: Grooves, Practice, Technique, Hits and Favorites.
- GROOVES -
This is the main section of Drum School with over 300 drum grooves in many different styles.
Each groove comes with:
- Standard drum notation with high quality graphics in portrait or landscape mode.
- High quality audio made from real drum samples that loop for play along practice.
- Variable tempo range of 30 to 300 bpm without any loss of audio quality.
- Audio isolation of what each limb is playing, allowing the student to break down the groove into its basic components, learn them separately, and finally put them back together in various combinations.
- Bass lines that help learning and experiencing the relationship between the drums and the bass in each style in a fun way.
- High quality video performance by the author of the app, established and world renowned drummer, Ferenc Nemeth. The video speed can be adjusted and the more advanced grooves come with an extra video at a slower tempo.
- Multiple drum fills that can be practiced individually or in conjunction with the groove in 2, 4 or 8 bar phrases.
- Color coded indication of difficulty level from 1 (easy) to 6 (hard).
- Ability to mark the groove as completed so you can better track your practice progress.

I don’t like this. It always shows a side on version. There is no explanation to what drum your hitting. I wasted money on buying this app
Great App for learning drums
This is a great app for learning drums, covering all the major (and minor) beats in a broad range of styles, plus rudiments. Allows you to learn by watching a drummer play in real time and listening or just listening to the beat or by reading the sheet music or all three. Really helps to have everything in one place to build up a solid practice regime! Excellent idea
Brilliant!
What a great learning app, I have it on my Mac and on my iPad and have been using it to learn and to practice and to revise my drum skills. I have improved my technique significantly through Drum School and have to say it is so much better than books and cd's, I set my iPad down on a desk beside my drum kit and work my way through the various lessons, learning fills and rudiments along the way. I can not rate this app highly enough it is well worth it.
Great app!
I use this all the time, great for learning grooves and fills, from easy to pretty advanced. I like the bass accompaniment option.
Rubbish App
Do not buy this app, it is rubbish. It does not allow you to write in your own drum score and edit it. it also does not allow you to buy additional grooves other than the ones that are already on there - of which there are a very poor selection.

Great App, easy to use. Had a question regarding putting on my iPad as originally purchased for iPhone and didn't seem to work but ended up being my mistake oops. the reply came within minutes, fantastic! Very helpful!
