Drum School is divided in five main sections: Grooves, Practice, Technique, Hits and Favorites.
- GROOVES -
This is the main section of Drum School with over 300 drum grooves in many different styles.
Each groove comes with:
- Standard drum notation with high quality graphics in portrait or landscape mode.
- High quality audio made from real drum samples that loop for play along practice.
- Variable tempo range of 30 to 300 bpm without any loss of audio quality.
- Audio isolation of what each limb is playing, allowing the student to break down the groove into its basic components, learn them separately, and finally put them back together in various combinations.
- Bass lines that help learning and experiencing the relationship between the drums and the bass in each style in a fun way.
- High quality video performance by the author of the app, established and world renowned drummer, Ferenc Nemeth. The video speed can be adjusted and the more advanced grooves come with an extra video at a slower tempo.
- Multiple drum fills that can be practiced individually or in conjunction with the groove in 2, 4 or 8 bar phrases.
- Color coded indication of difficulty level from 1 (easy) to 6 (hard).

Excellent

This app has all you need to learn to play the drums and the layout is great. I started about a year ago when i thought i was a decent drummer...wrong. My drumming is progressing quite nicely of course not as fast i would like but pretty soon i will be able to call myself a decent drummer. Would like to see a drum fills and skills section incorporating kick drum triplets. This app is well worth the money. Keep the HITS coming. Well done and thank you.

Great, but needs an update

Just discovered this app...and now I finally get how to use the practice pad that came with my second hand drum set...rudiments, etc. This app does need an update - other reviewers have commented already on what needs to be updated so I won't repeat I here...please update with the improvements and I will gladly give 5 stars.

Title says it all.

Concept is very good

Excellent idea, been waiting for something exactly like this app but the red metronome line goes out of sync too fast and even though there is a scroll bar to speed up the video it doesn't work at all. I still use it though but it's more listening rather than watching the video. Looking forward to upgrades to fix the issues.

Good but has display issue on iPad

Choosing a favorite will cause the video and notation to appear in the left-hand menu instead of the main right-hand area. Fix it and it'll be a five star program!

Drum school an excellent application

I was looking since a very long time to find such application. Very easy to use and configure but with a lot of practice an groove. If in the future they can add a solo part, this will make this application perfect. Also the support is incredibile. I had to have them to help me and they were very quick to answer with the proper solutions.

Great app!

Excellent app. I would love to see some advanced linear drum beats in the future. Definitely worth $4.99.
