Enjoy smart randomization to create patterns that feel natural and organic and add some feeling to the pattern with swing and 'humanization'.
Move various parameters along to match the notes, such as velocity, pitch, decay, probability, roll and offset.

Bring all the individual sounds together in one place, select new sound presets or even randomly generate new sounds based on various sound type profiles and give your kit some character, punch and an analogue feel!

With Volume, Mute, Solo, Pan as well as two reverb return channels you can send any of your sounds to at any time and also assign the mixer parameters as modulation destinations.
The Room reverb gives you a nice familiar space, letting you glue together multiple drum sounds, while the Hall reverb gives a massive space you can use either as a utility, or as way to fire your sounds off into the cosmos!

Create up to 16 individual patterns (from scratch, or using the easy copy/paste function), and chain these together into a sequence, up to 16 patterns long. Use your MIDI keyboard or controller to send values that quickly and seamlessly switch between patterns on the fly.
Quickly remove and add the individual hits, trigger rolls of different speeds, or even have them as pitch modifiers.

Mash up your patterns with one simple parameter and produce all sorts of automatic and random edits to your sound.
Add creative fills and variations to your loop to keep it constantly moving with fresh ideas - great for jamming or to prevent audio stagnation.

Import your own audiofiles to create Wavetables. Resynthesize Hihats, Snares, even Chords with the Resynth import feature or switch to Sampler mode to play back samples the ordinary way.

Honesty, just great…

For quickly putting together a groove, this is amazing. And then the fine tuning you can do makes this an essential purchase.

Fantastic - but why?

Super dooper, except the bizarre omission that I cannot input to the sequencer in realtime from the drum pads. Why? No one knows.

App just bloated 6x

Why has the app just bloated by 6x after the last update? Now I don’t have space to update.

Get in quick while sale lasts!

Like hen’s teeth I found SugarBytes apps on-sale, and finally got this for just under £15. That in my estimation is the sweet spot between what the developers prefer to sell it at, (£26) and a price that those affected by the economic crash might be able to afford. The app itself is excellent. Could still do with some acoustic style options for kits.

I really don’t like it

It’s boring. It’s too much! and it has very little character. I want to ‘make’ music not ‘find’ it. I might be short of patience but I have plenty of imagination, this combination = I really don’t like it!

Simply the best

It’s pricey, but when you get stuck in, this is like no other drum machine. The random nature of building beats and loops is endlessly entertaining and engaging. The team behind this obvs know their stuff and have designed a drum machine that will keep you in ideas for years. Truly inspirational, the possibilities of the app will make sure your loops are never dull, always keeping interest. A revolutionary approach to building sounds. Get it!

Best drum machine ever

In my opinion it’s not only the greatest drum machine on iOS but one of the best apps to hit the market. Such a range of parameters and controls and suits pretty much any style you can think of! I’d love to see an assignable kaos pad and delay/echo feature of possible but other than that it’s got it all!

Amazing but has its flaws

So much fun for a quick mess about. You can create stunning patterns in seconds. The couple of things which let it down are: It’s tricky to get a decent snare and kick drum out of it. You can make massive, dirty kicks and snares but getting a solid thump or sharp crack is quite hard. It sounds a bit muddy. The sliders are a bit jumpy. Changing the parameters in the sequencer, the slider often jumps to zero. It’s hard to fine tune them. Also when trying to slowly move a knob or slider, the menu pops up. But still one of the funnest music apps around.
