Drumgenius (created by a musician for musicians) is the first encyclopedia of drum grooves (500 loops from Jazz to Rock) as played by the masters of drums: a unique tool for any musician that wants to practice with an amazing expert virtual drummer, to develop time-feel and to expand the knowledge of any kind of rhythm, from the basic to the most complex one! The loops (stretchable) are accompanied by useful descriptions and discography references. The special "clave" button helps to go deep into the nature of different rhythms.

Download the app for FREE and use the PREVIEW FUNCTION for listening to all the loops before deciding to download them. You have at disposal three free loops to download from the list of 500 LOOPS TOTAL, so you can test the player functions and enjoy the practice with Drumgenius. Then, if you like it, on "Store" section, you can buy loops, having available three options: 10 Credits, 50 Credits and Infinite Credits. Each credit lets you download one loop at your choice from the complete list. When you choose a loop that comes with the alternate version with Clave (C), both versions will be automatically downloaded and will result as one credit only.
You can use 10 and 50 credits option only once. Infinite Credits option lets you download all the loops included in Drumgenius 3.0 and will give you also unlimited access to all the loops that will be included in future updates.

Superbe application

Excellente appli pour travailler avec autre chose qu’une ennuyeux métronome ou jammer avec les copains. Juste une chose, en l’installant sur un autre iPhone, je ne retrouve pas les rythmes déjà téléchargés, on me demande de les recharger.. (pack de 50 loops)

Amélioration suggestion

Cette application est Sublime! Pour la peaufiner, je suggère de pouvoir choisir différentes couleurs dans les favorites. Pour pouvoir repérer plus vite visuellement les grooves. Quitte à payer une option! Merci d’avance si vous arrivez à intégrer ça!

Très stimulant, bien réalisé... Pas de fonction d'export des boucles comme dans les très bons SessionBand, mais avec Audiobus puis GarageBand, on peut les passer sur PC et les retravailler à son goût et y ajouter des parties de guitare par exemple... Un des musts parmi les apps musicales ! Edit du 2020-11-04 : La mise à jour offre 100 nouvelles boucles, avec notamment une section Polyrythmes.

The best app for practicing drums and play along

As a pianist I could use this app live with my bass player. The sound quality is very pure. All the tracks can be also used on your daw. Never seen such an original loops like on this app. Awesome and you just got a real drummer with you!!!! Bravo

Not evolved since 2012

No update in 8 years! It was attractive then, but years passed and it’s still the same app that now looks very limited.

Excellente application...

Bravo à vous pour cette application très utile et riche en musicalité. Excellent outil pédagogique . La cerise sur le gâteau serait une mise à jour afin de piloter Drumgenius avec un pédalier type Bluetoothpar exemple ou des loops supplémentaires.. etc Elle est si addictive qu on en veut encore!
