Dungeon Falan FAQ
Is Dungeon Falan free?
Dungeon Falan is not free (it costs 4.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Dungeon Falan legit?
🤔 The Dungeon Falan app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
Me and my wife both loved the original dungeon raid.
Just purchased and played the first round. Absolutely perfect. Nice upgrade on the graphics from the original, whilst still keeping a retro 32gb (whoever thought we’d be saying that in 2010?) style.
Game play is exactly the same as the original.
If you don’t know the original and are looking for a tile matching game with a new challenge, buy this game it is worth every penny 🥰🥰🥰
Best puzzle RPG
Dungeon Falan is a rogue-like RPG puzzler on a tiled board where you link pieces together, even being able to loop pieces, linking coins, shields and swords which are used to attack enemies and bosses which drop down from the top. You have frequent upgrades to your stats and equipment and many great bonus items with different effects. This is a challenging game and is very satisfying to play indeed. If you ever played Dungeon Raid, this game beats it hands down! The game saves after every boss beaten. If you die you have to start again. Fantastic game. Highly recommended. Buy it! :)
REALLY GOOD
Had to rewrite my review I didn’t know that game saves after every boss. Loving this game as it’s really easy to learn and highly addictive, nice clean graphics with great sounds. At last a decent match 3 dungeon crawler. Well worth the price tag 👍
Progress not saved
Really enjoyable game that reminded of good old puzzle quest but one major issue - no saved progress you literally have to play it through on one sitting if that’s even possible
Doesn’t save progress
An interesting match three variant. But surely long term progress towards characters and boards should be saved?
I managed to unlock the mayhem mode after a couple of attempts. Put my phone aside and came back a couple of hours later. The app had restated and I had lost what I just gained. I won’t be able to unlock new heroes as I don’t have time to do everything on one go.
Would be 4 or 5 stars without this issue. If it is unintentional, happy to upgrade rating if fixed. If it is intentional, most of us will never see what this game has to offer.
Would be five star
If it would save the automatically save the game when you switch apps.
Game fails to work
When loading this on an iPhone 13 Max, the app opens successfully and seems to get into the game mode, but once there, the game refuses to acknowledge any attempts to match icons.
The fun is back
While Dungeon Raid was the original concept and lost to an iOS update, Dungeon Falon brings back the many hours of fun. Definitely could use a bit more in the unlockables, but this variation has enough depth to keep me going. Thank you for breathing life into the dungeon-tile game.
I wish this game didn’t erase progress
Why doesn’t this game auto save like most smartphone games? I get distracted by a message notification in another app, end up forgetting about the game, browse Reddit for awhile, then open the game to find out iOS kicked it out of the background. It starts up again, and if I didn’t hit level 2 before leaving the game, I have to start a new one. If I didn’t hit a new level, then I’m reverted back to the previous level. It’s super not friendly for being a smart phone game and really makes it a slog to play.
Not QUITE Dungeon Raid
This game, while fun, isn’t as smooth or as deep as the original “Dungeon Raid” game that this game is designed directly after. It would be a 1-to-1 conversion of Dungeon Raid, but it is more of a 0.5-to-1 conversion as it is missing a lot of the features of the original game. You don’t gain unique stat bonuses or gear for defeating bosses, your individual heroes do have some unique toggled skills, but they don’t have the unique style skills like the uppercut damage bonus or the infinite combo skill that allows you to pass through tiles of non-like types to continue comboing for whichever tile type you started out with. There is no real rpg element to it as you don’t continue unlocking perks or abilities for each character type in-between games, the different heroes don’t really change the feel of a given game like the enemy types don’t really vary based on hero type or anything, comboing between tiles feels a bit sticky and sluggish while also being less precise, but you can work around that well enough, and the game board isn’t as big as Dungeon Raid’s was which leads to stale boards with too few creative options too often.
Yeah, it is just a less deep, less smooth Dungeon Raid where they have added a rather meaningless “level cleared” wipe after defeating a boss as opposed to dropping some unique loot and just continuing to ramp up the board as you progress. It seems like they tried to make it “it’s own game” with those shallow tweaks and it’s a shame because a direct recreation of Dungeon Raid would have been more worth my money and a lot of people would probably have bought it for that very reason. Still, it sort of fills the void left by the now defunct Dungeon Raid. I just wish it were more so.
Also, the music is pretty bad and greatly detracts from enjoyment. I recommend turning that off.
