Can’t find network printer. It’s useless.

It would be difficult to create an exhaustive list of all the features this app is either lacking or that work poorly. That a company as established as Dymo would offer such a flawed application to customers who have purchased their products is baffling. They would be much better off just saying they don’t support mobile devices.

I’ve had this app for several years and I finally, today, deleted it. I purchased a Brother label printer and it’s SO much better. The problem with the app is that it constantly, constantly, loses the BT connection. And the incessant multiple taps to make its functions work is incredibly frustrating.

Don’t buy a DYMO machine thinking you can buy labels anywhere. No, they force you to buy only their labels because the have a chip that is read to make sure it’s their paper. The software will not recognize any other label other than the ones they sell. As if the machines and software weren’t bad enough. Poor customer service. You’re wasting money and your time!! It’s a total rip off.

This app has had not many updates, so this think it had not many problems to fix. Wrong. If I had a nickel for every quit and restart required of this app I’d be a millionaire and not waste time reviewing. After the latest update, they have reversed otherwise normal functionality. Now, finding a label printer on the network is faster— but then when connected and creating a label: -Typing on the virtual keyboard to add text, now shows WHITE font on WHITE background— you can’t see the test just typed. You have to tap out of the keyboard and then view whatever ends up in the text box. -Doing a Save of a label, does not allow finding that saved label in the Open a Label dialog- it’s empty -Finally going to Print the label so histrionically created per above, results in endless Tap of the Print icon—- tap it twice, tap it 40 times doesn’t matter— the app locks up so tight you have to restart it to print. Then when you go back in, guess what no label nor Saved one. So in this regard the Print icon is simply a cruel taunt. These issues match the flaky LabelWriter line I have experienced (it’s not just one). And the app does this above on any phone w any iOS version so don’t even go there.

This app is a mess. Difficult to use and often unusable. The Dymo is a nice is a nice label printer but the software is terrible.

The recent update has completely disrupted my ability to use my label files. Now, I'm unable to print any of my stored files; the app crashes every time I attempt to open one. Additionally, creating new files is problematic as the alignment is incorrect, seemingly due to mismatched dimensions. Despite no changes to my hardware or materials, this update has rendered all my equipment unusable.

The system is very glitchy and requires learning. It is not user friendly and you have to manually set up the label format. You’d think for the price tag it would be more helpful but it is not. I emailed the company and they sent back useless information and a contact number for customer service that doesn’t work. Save your money, do not buy anything DYMO.

Can’t even download this app on newer devices. Doesn’t connect to printer.
