Description

** Macworld Conference ‘Best of Show’ winner **
Want to make your videos smoother and more professional? Emulsio is a video editing application that automatically removes camera shake, and lets you make cinematic motion just like professional movie editors. Emulsio lets you use advanced stabilization techniques, adjust the stabilizer strength, preview the result within the app, and even view a before/after video comparison. You can also trim or cut any part of the video. Emulsio is a must-have for all movie makers!
Emulsio can be tried out for free and the watermark can be removed through an in-app purchase. Available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

KEY FEATURES
• Import any video from your album or any compatible video file.
• Choose the stabilization strength necessary to efficiently remove distracting camera vibrations.
• Compensate horizontal, vertical and rotational camera motion, as well as rolling shutter distortion. Besides, Emulsio can handle black borders by momentarily decreasing stabilization strength.
• Assess stabilizer effect and settings by playing both the original and stabilized videos simultaneously.
• Remove any part of the video. This is a non-destructive process, you can always change your mind until final export.
• HDR video handling: HDR videos can be processed and exported with their full dynamic range. HLG & PQ transfer functions are available
• Export the stabilized video to any compatible application (Mail, Messages, Facebook, Dropbox, Evernote, iMovie,…).
• Fully exposed video encoder: format (mov, mp4, m4a), codec (H.264, HEVC), quality/bitrate, resolution to customize output (smaller size or better quality).
• Transcode videos: skip the stabilizer and just use the transcoding feature to export to a small file size using a more optimized codec.
• Very fast video processing on your iPhone or iPad. No Internet connection required.
• Support for high-speed videos (up to 240 FPS) which preserve their frame rate after export.
• Modern OS features: import and export of HEVC (compatible devices only), Drag & Drop, Peek & Pop, modern video access (browsing & searching).
• Pro Pack or Pro Plan: HDR video handling, better accuracy for 4K videos, improved correction of rolling shutter distortion including third party sensor calibration, and removal of the watermark.
PRICING
You can unlock all features either through Pro Pack, a one-time purchase, or through Pro Plan, an affordable subscription. Pro Pack upgrade pricing is also available if you own a previous version.

Brilliant app!

Easy to use and gives great results.

OK

Useful app but doesn’t stabilise enough on some videos.

It's good but could so some improving

A nice app that helps me edit my shaky videos without uploading them to my computer first. Does the job okay, but the huge downgrade is the loss of quality you get after exporting the video out of the app. Crisp videos usually end up looking noticeable pixelated which is a huge shame. The videos are still watchable, I can use them in instagram stories for example, but anything more I'd rather use my desktop setup.

WOW

This app has changed my life! I use a GoPro hero 4 silver, with no image stabilisation and this app completely changes that providing butter smooth film from the most bumpy of scenes. Massively impressed highly recommend.

Works well

I use this to smooth out drone footage and it works really well. I am going to get the pro package very soon! 10/10 (Somebody said this bust it modifies the video, but you can go to it I photos, edit it and you can revert it)

I don’t even know what to say

I don’t know really. Maybe this is some kind of magic that works on one phone but makes jokes on the another. I’ve read that it worked for a good few people, but no matter what I did, it didn’t work for me. Of course when I slid down the slidebar to 0% stabilisation, it worked... it was just as shaky as my original clip 😋😂 no, honestly, all serious, it did not work at all for me. Tried different setups, none of them worked, I felt sick like if I had been on a rollercoaster, after watching the video “stabilised” by this app. Unfortunately it makes the videos hundred times worse.

Does what it says, can't get 4K to work

rob1234ert on

Good app, stabilises video well! But when I import a 4K video, it exports as 1080p... I can't seem to find a dialogue box to change the export settings? Also using iPhone se, any help would be appreciated!

Works but needs a higher bitrate

mister wobbley on

United Kingdom

Works well enough to stabilise the image and the slider lets you balance out the. Level of smoothness against the level of crop - plus if you have motion blur you need some shake or it looks wrong. However at 20MB/s for 4K there is a hit in the quality of the final video in addition to the loss from cropping. As stabilisation is part of a chain of post processing tasks it would be better to have a higher bit rate and even the option of using other intermediary codecs to reduce loss.

A Hidden Gem!

MadeInAyrshire on

As a professional filmmaker, I am wanting to rely less on the Adobe Suite and more on my iPad Pro for on the go editing. Along with LumaFusion, VideoGrade, and ShotLister etc... “Emulsio” has just joined my workflow to great effect. I shoot a lot Time-lapses, Hyper-lapses, Drone footage as well as handheld gimbal video with the Ronin S and Osmosis Mobile 2, All of which needs that little bit extra stabilisation just to take any minor kinks. It’s totally worth buying the Pro Pack because as well as removal of the watermark you also get the ability to remove any rolling shutter (Jelly) and this alone makes any digital video far superior and worth the bucks! Now I don’t have to go running back to Premiere Pro or After Effects as I can get all done on my iPad. 🤓🤯😍 I have suggested they produce an app that allows you to reintroduce motion blur for the 180 shutter rule and if they make it and maybe a way to motion track 3D objects, text and graphics as well I would never need the Adobe suite ever again... 🤞 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS

Digatunnel on

United Kingdom

I previously paid for the pro version which means I can save videos without the watermark. They’ve just released a “Pro Pack2” which handles 4K video which means anyone who purchased Pro Pack 1 now has watermarks on their videos again. I don’t work with 4K video and have no interest in paying again. Fair enough if you want to offer this option for people, but it is outrageous that by putting this option in place you are simultaneously removing rights that people have already paid for by purchasing the original pro pack. If this app worked miracles I wouldn’t mind to pay a little again but come on. Respect your customers.
