The gym is amazing but the app is the slowest app I've ever seen. Most of the time I am not even able to open classes. The app kicks me out constantly. I hope they fix those issues as soon as possible.
Filter hasn’t been working for the ‘on-demand’ classes for at least a month, it’s frustrating, I used to do on demand classes quite often, and it’s a big part of my workout routine that is now missing. My phone is updated and my app is updated.
Despite having a brand new phone and reinstalling the app it still doesn’t load properly especially when the booking window reopens at 5 am. Schedule doesn’t load for minutes having to refresh constantly then by the time it does you go to book and that also takes 30 plus seconds to confirm or often get error codes ‘504’ or ‘something went wrong’ then other times suddenly will show you as booked. But many times it just doesn’t load at all for minutes and you lose your chance at the popular morning class because it took too long to load. I’m not paying high gym fees not to be able to book into the classes. When it does work it’s great but they have got to fix this loading/booking issue it’s frequent.
You guys can just rip one grand from me💰why still kindly offer me a 3-month-membership 😂 1) Equinox has a policy of minimum 3-month-membership, and the advisor Kyleea didn’t mention a single word till she recorded my payment method 2) You must hand in a doctor note before quit membership (Kyleea didn’t told me till I signed contract) 3) I just received message from my bank-got double charged (the overcharged one has a even higher price than the one on the contract) ROBBERY!! I went to Equinox Yorkville for a tour today and signed for the membership with uni student discount. However, the advisor Kyleea never mentioned that it is 3-month mandatory - until I gave her my credit card. It was ridiculous as she had the knowledge that I am a full-time undergrad without any income. A mandatory 3-month-long membership is a big deal and needed to be explained clearly before any contracts are signed. All they care about is MONEY MONEY MOENY!!! I mean if she told me all the one-must-know policies beforehand, I am still very likely to sign up the membership for my own good. Now it’s just the feeling of being pushed and fooled. Customers have right to access all the information,right? Besides, why do we need to provide doctor note to end a gym membership??? We don’t have the right to decide when to begin or end our exercise routine??? It’s our own body and free will to choose, not the doctor’s. The worst thing happened just tonight, and it’s what made me want to write this one-star review. I got charged 283.6 and 170.6 twice today, which I should only be charged the latter. I am wordless to see my coming messages from the bank as the whole experience today made me very disappointed. It’s such a shame for a place is known for high standard replaced by money grubbing. Just focus more on your staff training and policy making before advertising. I need my double charged problem resolved ASAP!!
The digital content is pretty good. I love them. But I find it’s really hard to find certain courses. The existing filter does not work well and it does not fit for certain category of courses. I think a search bar that search courses by key words would greatly enhance this user experience.
The gym is great, but the app encounters errors sometimes, and there is no way to book classes when that happens. App performance is slow as well.
Freezes often so hard to get into classes as they book up seconds after bookings open. The activity section has never shown all my completed classes, only ever displays class types that fall under running and athletic training and nothing else. Calendar also never shows past classes, only upcoming - past dates just show as “no classes completed” even on days with completed classes.
Some changes need to be made because the in app calendar is super sensitive and will just randomly change weeks and jump forward a month when I’m just trying to view another day of my current week. The app claims to sync to my iCal and it did for about 3 hours but just stopped updated my calendar with classes I booked. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, resetting my device and troubleshooted to the max. I am using a brand new iPad and iPhone running on the latest most current software as well so I just don’t understand why there are so many issues with an app affiliated with such a high end prestigious fitness club I pay a lot of money to be apart of.
App is glitchy, and very slow... I can NEVER get into AM classes. The app thinking wheel spins and I always end up on the waitlist. Very frustrating.
