Can I learn to sing?
If you can talk, you can sing. Singing is a completely natural activity; our voices are designed for both speaking and singing (in ancient human tribes, everyone sang, not just a few “professional” singers). Singing uses basically the same skills as speech, but for singing we use our breath differently, hold sounds longer, and use a wider range of tones.

Don’t I need talent?
You may not be able to become the fastest marathon runner. However, unless you have a physical condition that prevents you from running, you can most definitely train to run marathons successfully, and get very good at it through regular exercise. Similarly, you may not be able to become the next Pavarotti; however, you can be as good as many professional singers who sing for a living, provided you train your voice regularly and with focus. Even if you’re not willing to put in a lot of effort, you can always improve from where you are, and have fun singing.

Why do I need training?
Just as you can’t run a marathon without any training and practice, you can’t sing well without training and practice. Lessons used in Erol Singer’s Studio focus on techniques and sounds that show you how to use your voice effectively, and prevent you from making the most common mistakes in singing, such as breathing poorly and closing your throat (e.g. by letting your larynx rise up). These carefully selected sounds, which have been in use for centuries around the world, ensure that your muscles are coordinated in the most useful ways for singing. By practicing these sounds and building up the muscle memory, it becomes easier to sing other sounds as well and you have more freedom in different parts of your vocal range.

Not to bad

I can practice my singing, but I need criticism and this isn’t the app for that. Still

Motivating and challenging

I really enjoy this app, and even more since it has been gamified. I find the lines on the note heads below and above the ledger a bit difficult to see, but other than that it is visually clear.

Good but costs money

I just got this app, and it’s great. The exercises are good, but it’s saying I half to pay now. I think this is a good app that seems to work but just a warning, it does cost money. Smh

Tried, Tested and True

Started using this app almost 2 years ago, I was tone deaf and embarrassed to sing in public but now I enjoy karaoke and playing PlayStation Singstar with my friends. This app has great exercises and you can even set up your own program to follow and track your progress, and every lesson has an introduction and demo you can go through before doing the exercise to get the gist of it, and there’s tips on every lesson, it’s very thorough, like taking professional singing lessons, but this measures your pitch so you know exactly how you’re doing without relying on someone else’s ear I definitely recommend it, you get out of it what you put into it, and if you stick to your lesson plan you will be very happy at the results

Marvellous

It's a fantastic gym and has plenty of multi function tools, You can develop riffs and runs by practicing your scales of figure out which key a the song you're listening to is in by opening up warm up modes and examining the live pitch analysis graphs. This has been an unrivalled purchase. Warning: Use it for practice, progress metrics but make SURE you also check in with the most badass voice teacher you can find, LIVE and IN PERSON so that you don't develop and institutionalise bad habits. Nothing is more important than this.

Best app for learning to sing

I have tried most of the apps for voice training and keep comeing back to this one. By far the best.

Great App for beginner

A great place to start training your voice. Had taken music lessons before but not for voice. This trains my voice quite nice. I'm enjoying this app. It's a nice place to start. I'm sure real lessons would be better but this does the trick for now. I've learnt lots about my voice with this app and it helps me improve it.
