Easy to use, fun to explore

Love this app

Etymology trees are cool

A great app built around the idea of presenting etymology in “tree” form, showing in a clear & vivid way the descent of a word or its parts leading to its present form. Free version is helpful & premium features are appetizing, tho I haven’t yet taken the plunge.

What more could you want?

This app is sick. It gives you lineages of words in a flowchart-like format. Simple to use. Quite comprehensive as well.

Word Lovers

This app needs support so it can add more words. Excellent tree structure lets you go as far back as you want from the search word. An excellent resource for all word lovers.

Maybe I live for little maps like these? Flow charts really. New user but haven’t stumped it yet. Though I didn’t appreciate it being case-sensitive (didn’t locate “Huron” from “huron”).

Last hope

When i have used my other resources and am still not satisfied with my understanding of meant meaning or denotation of a word, i can come here and the word’s geneolgy helps me see the meaning. It is a different lens from a dictionary.
