FGLair FAQ
Is FGLair free?
Yes, FGLair is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is FGLair legit?
⚠️ The FGLair app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
The app hasn’t been updated in 2 years! Which is ridiculous!
The English on it isn’t the best and it will often tell you the A/C is “off” when it’s clearly on, so you’re unable to use the controls, but if you press the power button on the app, it turns the A/C off.
It also decides it has an error and then turns the A/C off.
It also often decides that it’s just simply not going to work.
This really needs sorting out, it’s ridiculous!
Old wifi module and unreliable app
If you are “lucky” enough to be able to enable WPS on your router to get these connected to your Wi-Fi, as the manual method does not work. Then you can enjoy connectivity for around a day, after that it fails to connect to any of our mini splits.
Alarm bells began to ring as soon as the app mentioned WPS which should not be used for 10+years it is insecure. The manual method without this was not working on any of the 3 units with a phone or laptop.
As a 25 year IT veteran who has the house setup with homeassistant, who is actually certified to install AC, save your sanity and get Celio breeze universal remote units for each room, they are 100% stable and have reliable Wi-Fi connections.
Shame as the mini splits are actually very good but the cutdown intelisis Wi-Fi modules used are obviously very old models especially for a current model halcyon unit.
Use AIRSTAGE instead
So aligned with everyone else, took me ages trying to work this out and connect my AC units, nothing was working. Then read a review on here that stated it’s been changed to AIRSTAGE. Downloaded that, connected in 2 seconds!
Don’t expect much technology
App all but abandoned by the company. Previously I could NOT get the wifi module to connect. Tried again after a break of 3 years. Now connected but despite documentation saying it can be added to Google Home Fujitsu support state this is only in certain markets and NOT in the UK. A disappointment.
No longer functioning use Airstage
Spent 10 months trying to get my split ac to pair through this app, couldn’t get the app to recognise the ac was connected, after much research i found on a forum site that fglair has been replaced by Airstage. Downloaded airstage and the ac unit connected straight away. Very poor from Fujitsu, all documentation offline and online refers to fglair app still and i have to find out via an unofficial forum online. The ac unit is ace much better than daikin but this terrible oversight is really unprofessional!.
Awful
Don’t waste your money. I do have my units on the app, but 90% of the time anything you do in the app just comes up with a communication error and times out. 1 week ago my units showed as offline in the app for 2 days but I could see on my router that all 4 units were online. Then it took another day for the units to randomly appear online. Terrible
Unable to connect
After several hours of trying to connect three units to the app I have given up. Easy setup doesn’t work with WPS. And manual setup never opens the pop up “return to FGLair app” and you can’t continue as option greyed out even though my phone is connected to a unit. In 2023 this should be much easier !!
Oh and why oh why is there not an option to turn the lights off on the units…. Which during the night is one of the brightest Leds I have ever seen.!!
App constantly has issues
Never a day goes by without issue
Try the other app
Many reviews on here suggesting the app won’t connect, it seems that if you have the newer (WH3E) WiFi modules, you should use the AIRSTAGE Mobile app from Fujitsu instead. That’s working for me at least.
Utter useless
I paid £90 for a wireless dongle and because of this useless app it is impossible to pair it. It continuously comes up with errors and it’s all to do with the app. The air con unit is connected to the router but the app continuously fails. You are better off saving your money and not connecting to WiFi.
