Fantastic trip journal

Not only have I use this app on numerous trips, but a number of friends have adopted it as well. What is so cool is that you can do a trip with a beginning date and the ending date and every day of the trip you can post 10 photos and two videos. The top shows your progress on your journey and where you’ve been. You control the friends that will follow you and be able to read your journal and see your photos. Penguins is a great way to remember where you were, what you saw, who you met, and what you ate. Nothing is more frustrating and getting home and than having a mishmash of pictures which are hard to assemble chronologically. It’s also frustrating when you go to restaurants and take beautiful photos and then forget what restaurant it was and which day you ate there. As an added bonus, if you decide to make a picture book of your journal, it’s never easy to do.

Easy way to make travel memories to share

I have used Find Penguins for many trips and love the interface and ease of use. The longes trip I used it for was a 14-day Mediterranean cruise with an extra few days in Rome. I ended up ordering the hard copy book as well and the quality is that of a high end coffee table book. I love being able to look back at the memories from that trip. I love the map feature that tracks your location and timeline and how the updated map shows the “footprints”. Such a fun way to chronicle travel memories.

Privacy viewing issues

Basically it’s a good app. The issue is with privacy setting for a trip Close friends vs private vs penguins vs everyone. There’s not enough definition of who sees what. That has to be clearer. I sent out the close friends link and only a few could see the posts. There also is no help or chat link within the app or its web page. Only help you can ask for is ordering a book.
