Keeps me motivated and prepared for study sessions.
I’ve struggled to hold an attention span academically since I can remember. I breezed through primary with no study and minimal homework completion, well through middle school until grade 10 (Australia). I smashed my science tests in grade 10, and passed assignments in science with the beginning to the completion of my assignment lasting 2 days. However, come Senior years and electives. Chemistry, Physics and Maths are specifically where I fell HARD. English I’m somewhat natural at, as in Music. Legal studies bored me to tears, but somehow I miraculously passed QTAC or whatever it is. I’m now in University, having started Psychology this closing trimester. I’ve received a mental health overview, and was diagnosed with hyperactive ADHD. I am now medicated, as well as practicing therapies and mindfulness. These help, but I still find myself struggling with organisational skills. Scheduling study, tasks, essential chores, and events is a difficult thing for me still. I’m trying to improve and develop in that area, and this app is helping phenomenally. Funnily enough, ADHD people oddly strive under stress and pressure close to deadlines. So, I am also undertaking a full time apprenticeship. Wow! Why do that to myself? I don’t know, I enjoy having lots to do that interests me. But now I can learn how to study like a functional academic! Not chaotic and scattered in the mind, intelligent but uselessly incompetent in structure or discipline. Thank you for doctors, for science and pharmacological advancement, thank you my Lord for providing fantastic healthcare! I now extend my thanks to Flora, as it is the next layer of assistance and routine in my busy life.
It’s completely free, unless you want to donate money towards planting trees. As someone with ADHD this helps me so much to stay focused at university and stay on top of my goals as it stops me from looking at my phone. I love discovering learning about all the different plants across the world. 💚🌺🍀🌷🌿
This app has gotten me through exams
I downloaded flora after hearing about it from Leyla Tavas (keep up the good work). It’s really great since I have WAY too much screen time.😊 And it’s reall cool to get to watch my garden grow over time. 🪴 Overall I would definitely recommend this app and hope that the developers continue to do things like this. 💯
I like flora because the focus timer helps me to keep track of the studying time.
