Fortelling - Writer Tools

I cannot stress enough how important planning is when writing books and this app is PERFECT. Personally I don’t think it’s the best for writing, but it’s amazing for planning everything from characters to locations to base plot. And you can have multiple books at once and keep a book series under one project. It’s totally worth giving a go if you’re looking for an app to write stories. Side note: there is also weekly ‘competitions’ with prompts to help you start writing and read others work. Thanks for your time

I adore this app. It lets me plan worlds and characters and events for my story better than I do on paper. All the tools are right there and easy to use. And free! It makes story writing and planning so much easier- and it’s fun making all the characters and worlds etc.

This is amazing and easy to navigate. I have been searching for things like this and character profiles are easy and so is worldbuilding. Whilst writing chapters you have different things you can look at like the scenes,statistics,characters and more! RECOMENDABLE

No instructions how to start? Set out chapters,obtain images pinboard? I don’t know how to put words down How to use the tools provided? Strange?

Amazing

I’ve been searching for an app like this for a while!! I love the UI and everything here. ESPECIALLY the option to disable some things like species etc in world building and stuff so they don’t clutter the screen. But I love this! Being able to condense information into one place is so lovely. Every other time I’ve looked for an app like this I’ve been met with what might as well be Notes 2.0. Anyway, THANK YOU for this amazing app! Some suggestions to improve it even more: (Unsure if some of these are in the subscription ^_^) - Custom colour palettes for the background and boxes per character. - Separate notes in the character menus per character. (So not just notes in general linked to the character. Ones only on their section) - Ability to custom organise character order - Item menus within the locations - Ability to ‘enter’ new line in timelines. (So I don’t have to copy paste from notes haha) - Photos in timeline? Not sure if this is already a thing - (I think this is in the subscription but…) Being able to put custom fields under their own sections instead of one big section. And being able to customise other ones. (Again pretty sure I read this is in the subscription.)

Thank you so much for making the perfect app to organise my thoughts, millions of random notes and plotting my book. It’s been a real struggle. So user friendly and has all the elements I was looking for all these years but couldn’t find in any other software or app. To think this is only one person who put this together! My chaotic brain has finally found peace and I’ll certainly support this creator :) I do have one question about how much data this app can handle because what I’m about to dump into one project is criminal! Also, is it all autosaved on some kind of cloud? Thanks!

Where has this been all my life?! This is the best writing app i have every come across. It clearly outlines thecatagories, you can go into so much detail, you can make spider diagrams, you can write your ideas and so much more. I tell all my family and friends about this the more I find out something new about it!

Absolute must for anybody looking to get envolved in writing and world building. Perfectly streamlined the process and helps keep everything organised.
