I’ve used Forvo for years and even willingly have paid for it. This app has some pros and cons. It’s been updated a few times but there’s still some quality of life things I’ve wanted: an easier way to navigate and add/remove favourited words. Hearting and unhearting words is somewhat cumbersome. There appears to be no way to arrange favourited words in each language or sort them. It would be nice if there were a field where you can write in a few letters to navigate towards those favourite language tabs. It would also be nice to have this when adding a word as scrolling down a hundred languages is slow. These would especially be useful if you have words in many languages. For a long time now, the app is freezing and crashing within seconds of you doing anything. Sometimes you can add a word or do what you want but it is notably less stable than it was. Really hoping they fix it!

When choosing a pronunciation on iPhone there is not enough time to then hold iPhone to ear to hear it said Also in general this app is in desperate need of a service! The bugs and crashes on iPhone are really obvious just using the app normally you won’t need me to detail them, any update rectify would be really appreciated thanks

Forvo is a great concept and a useful app. It is let down a little in the execution, as some sound files are quite poor quality with really bad signal to noise ratios. Definitely worth getting for language buffs, however.

I only want atm to know how to pronounce names in German - reading Buddenbrooks. Can’t find how to do it after downloading app. Just offers translations ?

I would like to be able to add content from the app - I can only only listen to words searched for using a computer. Nevertheless, it is brilliant and audio quality is great.
