V2.0 is not good

Macchiato Søndag on

United States

The update replaced an easy to read and understand diagram with hard to read and understand drawing of a house. The usage graphs are now harder to find and smaller and harder to read. It also now gives the wrong temperature and time of day for my house and seems to respond to weather alerts that don’t apply to where I live. I have reported this but it has not been fixed. I would like the option to reinstall the previous version.

2.0 is horrible

Sterling5050 on

Version 2.0 is a horrible update. Loss of functionality and data takes a long time to update. This makes it impossible to know the actual status of the system. Franklin needs to revert back to 1.X

Previous version was MUCH better….

stcshindo on

United States

The new version is certainly prettier, but the previous version was much better. Data was easily readable and I knew what’s going on at a glance. Pls revert back to the old version, or least give the user the option of which dashboard to use.

Completely new look

Mopar78623 on

The new version of this app really stinks. It does not provide the data format that I need. The immediate previous version did EVERYTHING I needed and showed my complete system on a single view. This new thing is ridiculous

2.0 issues

Mike 2135 on

United States

The new app has a great new look, but does not function as well as the previous version. It shows I have outages every couple of minutes that are not occurring in the system. At this point, I’m not sure I trust any of the data it supplies.

An Amazing Tech… Hope Company Lasts…

My Franklin system is wonderful. I have 4 batteries, Agates and smart Circuits- we are all worried about company management and profitability. No use having the tech if it o longer supported. Please consider adding a manual hardware option in case system loses app support.

It became pretty, it has new problems

The Jockstrap Incident of ‘19 on

United States

I’ve had the new 2.0 app version for all of 10 minutes and already found two major bugs. 1) The app now thinks I want weather temperature in Celsius (can’t find a way to change it back) 2) I cannot update the name of my site. My best guess is the app will not accept my street address, even though it pulls up in the drop down. 3) The update either erased or changed my TOU tariff data, and no longer seems to pull from Edison. So far, on balance - sure the app got prettier… but I’ve clearly lost functionality.

Constant issues that never get solved

Fred Goudy on

United States

Been waiting for months for an update that would resolve the disconnect between the SOC value in the app vs the aPower. Been told multiple times this issue has been pushed up to the highest level and yet it never gets solved. In addition, every time I access the app I get the message “operation without permission”. This app cannot be trusted and tech-support seems clueless.

Needs SOH data and offline mode

avahZ on

United States

Overall this system is great. My two biggest issues is that I can not access my batteries State of Health (info is only available to the installer and the company) and there is no true offline mode. If power and cellular/internet service is down you can not access this app. You HAVE to have internet access. Last hurricane knocked out power and internet (both wired and the cell towers were damaged). SOH data lets me know how the batteries are holding up over time, etc.

Decent app

CoderInTampa on

United States

The app has issues connecting to my agate and I constantly have to swipe to refresh. The worst issue is the grid outage and restoration notifications no longer work on any device Android or IOS. This is a critical issue as I need to reduce load manually during an outage and if I’m not watching the app I’d never know until it’s too late.
