We have had a long journey with them, almost a decade. Lately, the support has been a big letdown. Recently, they charged us for an extra seat for months and, instead of taking a proactive approach to rectify after pointing it out, stated we cannot do much about it.
I keep updating and hoping that Projects will be accessible from the mobile app. It would be helpful to be able to pull up hours spent & billable time in case a client asks and I don’t have my laptop with me. Am I missing something in the dashboard?
The mobile app version of FreshBooks has a good interface and is easy to use. However, there are a few issues that have had a significant impact on my billing in a negative way. The main one is Time Entry. In the desktop version of FreshBooks you can toggle between billable and un billable hours. You can also set up retainers that default to to ‘unbillable’ since they’re at a set monthly rate. However, the mobile app automatically records EVERYTHING as billable - even if the client is in retainer. This has led to three awkward instances in my part where time has been billed to clients that shouldn’t have. It’s a decent app, but also has a decent amount of friction for the end user. You’ll need to put in manual time to ensure tracked time and expenses recorded via mobile device are accurate.
Was hoping to not have to have my laptop open to track time while working on the iPad. This app is virtually useless in that format, being so hard to navigate, glitchy, and very easy to log out of accidentally. Oof, folks. Let’s make working smarter not harder.
This app is truly terrible. The website also has plenty of problems, mostly due to JavaScript issues. But this app is nearly useless most of the time. Invoices don’t load properly, the app constantly claims it needs to be refreshed and gets stuck in a loop whenever you do refresh it, forcing the user to fully log out and log back in to make the loop stop. Trash.
I was a QuickBooks convert because they were taking so long to release my funds. Freshbooks was great for a couple of years I always received my money next day when they used wepay. Now ever since the switched to Stripe it’s taking 4-5 days to get credit card payments. Time to move on.
Can’t log into the app anymore since email code verification. Once I input the code I touch login and it does nothing. I have multiple financial apps that require much more security that use Face ID and don’t use email codes. This needs to be fixed immediately.
This used to be stable and synced perfectly. Now, with the advent of recent updates the app seems to freeze on random screens, doesn't display any of my clients or estimates and overall directs me to the web interface to edit certain things and is always asking me to log back in when I've already done so and enabled faceID. This all used to work so seamlessly, what happened?
Still can’t get mileage tracker to automatically add my mileage, even though I’ve gone through all the settings and called customer service for help. May work better with an android phone. If it would start working, I would give it five stars.
