I participated in the beta program for this app. The app has hardly changed since then, with next to zero functionality. Transfers are down a majority of the time, making this effectively useless as a bank account.
I plan on closing my account, but I have one penny deposited currently. In order to close your account you must have a zero balance, or pay $15 to mail a check of your balance. So I’ve opened the app periodically in order to attempt a transfer, and the one time transfers aren’t down, I get a warning that I’ve passed my limit. One penny, I can’t transfer. My most recent transaction is from five months ago.
This app should’ve never left the beta period, it has a lot of work to become competent. I would advise against trusting your money to this service. And developers—I don’t need an obligatory response to contact support, I already have to contact you to get this account closed.
Great and good
It’s great that it connects right to the EveryDollar app. I love it. The transfer option on the app was great then it was removed which was upsetting but you can still transfer money to your card via bank transfers. It’s pretty awesome that it only take one business day to make the transfers!! I’m dying for it to be on Apple Pay and to allow my wife to be on my account. The I would rate it as AWESOME!!
Terrible
My wife and I have made many sacrifices to incorporate this in our lives…we were part of the very first beta release and it was improving rapidly from humble beginnings… then all of the sudden everything stoped improving and it is left at a unacceptable position for a bank in 2023. When I called they offered no info and a very dim hope for the future. I guess no one told us this was part of the “live like no one else”. Now we have dozens of apps and utilities switched over to this card… very frustrating
Disappointed
I was really excited to see this come out. However, it is basically useless in its current state. The only functions that work are direct deposits and spending from the card. Transferring money just doesn’t work. Cannot add new accounts on the app. Cannot remove or edit existing accounts on the app. This needs some major fixing before it can replace my normal bank debit card.
Second review
At first I thought this would be awesome. I follow Ramsey products and have not had any issues. So gave this a try. Deposit from another bank account was awesome feature but they had an issue and went to fix it. Happened after a month in. I had followed up several times and was told they were working on it. They did fix the withdrawal function but the deposit to the account from another bank does not and will not work. They do not have a fix. I have several big name bank accounts and never have had this issue. I know this is a new program but this is an issue that should have been resolved way before the new year. I’m disappointed and hope to see this get fixed in the future. At the moment I’m not sure how to deposit in this without direct deposit and seeing how they have issues with bank to bank transfers not sure if I will hold much past spring. I will give them time to fix but not holding my breath. Doesn’t seem like a good Ramsey product and I don’t see them advertise it any more.

I opened this account Nov 9 2022. I transferred $1000.00 from another credit Union account to the Gazelle account.
Since November 9 2022, I have been unable to transfer any more money into or out of the Gazelle account.
I have called and emailed customer service. Their basic reply is “We are working to correct this glitch”.
It has been extremely disappointing to have $1000.00 tied up in an account that I cannot access. I don’t know how or when I will ever get the $1000.00 back.
I think Dave Ramsey owes me $1000.00 and a personal explanation!
Not flexible!
They just got rid of the transfer option and you can no longer transfer money into our out of your debit account to/from an external bank! Doesn’t make sense! I am so disappointed because I really wanted to use this.
I can’t do anything with this app and account
I can’t login to my account via a browser on my PC.
On my iPhone I can’t do anything to move money into the account.
I have $20 dollars and that’s it. I guess I could transfer it out but then my account is useless.
Need joint banking
Please hurry with the joint banking! Another feature that needs to change is transfers! I can only transfer from gazelle to my linked account, but not from the linked account to Gazelle. Also, when using plaid to connect in my other banks account, Pathward N.A. Is nowhere to be found. Lots of changes are needed for this to be fully functional.
Released too early
I’m in BS4, 5, and 6. I was so excited to get this gazelle card. But it was release WAAAAY too early. I can’t even have a joint card for my wife. And I also can’t use it for Apple Pay so that’s extremely inconvenient. These need to be addressed and the app hasn’t been updated in over a month.
