I joined Gexa when I purchased my home in 2020 in the Houston, TX area. I had no idea about energy usage and cost, to compare rates, but I was able to speak with several representatives to  get an understanding to lock-in and sign up for three years. I like the app and how you track your usage. They have Excellent Customer Service. If the price is right I’ll sign up for three more years.

This app stopped working when I updated my iPhone to iOS 18.1.1

Please fix whatever is wrong with the app and your online payment system. I have been trying to save my card info for the last hour and a half with no luck. Although I have a saved bank account, it doesn’t let me use it or select it as payment. I just tried to pay online and when I hit submit - all I get is the wheel spinning endlessly. I’m afraid to refresh as I don’t want be charged twice nor do I want it to not take the payment. This is an on going issue. If I can’t pay my bill - you better not disconnect me. As a company you are required to have valid methods for your customers to use that are convenient. I’m not going to make trips around the city to find a location to pay. This is ridiculous for the amount of money I pay for electricity.

The prices listed online attracted me, but when I switched to this power company, my electric bill doubled in the first month, and I think that may be why I haven't had a chance to get the points yet. By the second month, the electricity bill had increased significantly. I had to call the customer service of this electric company and ask for a change of plan. The customer service was very nice and said they would call me back when the verification was clear. I never received this so-called phone call. I even answered every call, including countless spam calls. In the end, I decided to switch to another power company immediately before the two-year contract ended, and I paid a $295 cancellation fee. I didn't want to be troublesome, I hope this matter is over. However, thinking that there are other customers who may have my experience, after more than two months, I still made up my mind to take the time to share my experience, hoping that people who are considering this power company will deal with it carefully.
