Glooko Reviews

Glooko 3rd party app

lee.p.lee on

United Kingdom

I chose this app as it said that it supported my glucose meter and that it connected to apple health app. It does support my glucose meter and the app connects to apple health app. However it will not allow transfer of my blood sugar readings to apple health app, as apple health does not support my meter. I knew this but thought that a third party app would be able to write the results as not directly from my meter. In this sense it is useless to me as other functions of this app are supported within the manufacturer app. So no need to use a third party if it can’t do as needed. Also adding food is a nightmare. Only American brands are supported/suggested and when trying to add food types, you have to list the ingredients separately, which quite honestly is a bit of a ball ache. Customer service did reply promptly when contacted, but their solution was to report from this app separately, not with the rest of my data from apple health app. Not what I want or need. Needless to say I will be deleting this app.

No longer works!

Samiwhammy on

United Kingdom

The app is now completely useless, open it up and I get a pop up saying I need to login and then a loading screen that never loads and stays on 2% for hours on end. Glad I wasn’t using this as my main app as I’d be stuck not having access to any of my information!

Excellent

Gmc_1 on

United Kingdom

Was very worried about the lag time of the app against real time data. It really is the only issue I have. Layout is fantastic, the response time of data is fantastic. Interface is easy & slick. Having mi the of data in one place so you can see a bigger picture is fantastic. Just a fantastic app all round.

Nice app but poor links with Omnipod in Uk

JFMarkham on

United Kingdom

In UK if using Omnipod 5 and Libre 2+ this is the only software link available up as the Libre 2+ does not send data to Freestyle LibreLink or Libre View. Therefore any other 3rd party apps such as Sweat Dreams on Apple Watch or Night Scout will not work. Glooko syncs well with Libre and has some nice data analysis and graphics but with some key limitations. Firstly no iPad version!! Which seems really odd these days. Secondly although it will sync a variety of sensor data to Apple Health, it will not sync Omnipod 5 blood glucose levels to Apple Health? When I queried this I received some unclear answer. Does Omnipod 5 not want Glooko to share data, keeping it closed. Glooko is a nice piece of software but limited for Omnipod 5 diabetic closed loop users. It would be good if Glooko had an API so that other software such as Sweat Dreams or Night Scout could integrate.

Review of Glooko app

Fedupparent1 on

United Kingdom

This is not the best way of tracking blood sugars quite honestly ? Might be better on a laptop but on a phone the graphs are meaningless.

Won’t accept password

Happe1 on

Won’t accept password when registering even when it contains all special characters.

Food log

Inga19831 on

United Kingdom

Spent last 2 days repeating ‘I ate 20g of Caesar salad’ and still can’t log any food with voice. app just says can’t find this food. Can log manually only.

Struggling to set up

T1 Kid2013 on

United Kingdom

I have managed to set up an online account but when I log into or attempt to log into the app it keeps telling me the email address is invalid. I’ve been trying to set this up for over two hours, frustration to the point of tears is setting in. None of the online advice seems relevant to the set up. Really disappointed with how difficult this is.
