Description

The GoodSAM Responder App is a professional deployment system used by Emergency Services around the world and the National Health Service in the UK.

GoodSAM provides a range of solutions connecting those with specific skill sets to those in need, for example:

- GoodSAM Cardiac: This system is used by ambulance services to alert those trained in resuscitation (e.g. off duty paramedics, nurses, doctors, police and fire staff) to those nearby who are likely to be in cardiac arrest. This system has saved many lives around the world.

- GoodSAM Volunteer Response: GoodSAM is a platform used by the NHS and 3rd sector organisation such as the Royal Voluntary Service and British Red Cross to deploy volunteers to those in need. At the current time this is coordinating the 750,000 NHS Volunteers to help those isolated in the Coronavirus crisis.

- GoodSAM Pro: This is a professional dispatch system for community first responders and the emergency services.

The App utilises the latest in location technology and has many advanced features including a built in “radio” (Buzz) function so you can communicate with surrounding colleagues.

The GoodSAM platform has saved hundreds of lives and helped many thousands of people around the world. If you can help your community, please download the App and register under your parent organisation (or get your parent organisation on board if they are not on!).

Our Apps rely on location services for navigation and position updates. Please note continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

First call out in 4 years

COWDOC support on

Attended 4 year old stated 900+ meters from me as crow flies.About 2km by car. Heard siren grabbed Defib and arrived 19 min ahead of first emergency vehicle. Great to be able to calm mother, assess child and keep stable.

Won’t let me register

Flipchick28 on

I have tried and tried to register on this app but as soon as I try and put the date of my document in it reverts back to occupation and lists me as a paramedic, which I am not. Don’t know if it’s a bug in the system or what but I have now deleted the app. No good if I can’t register.

Great app

the Tysons on

I have been using this app for years. Amazing and has helped save lives.

Great APP, terrible for battery life.

Sadwannabeehelper on

Just not practical to.have the location always on, if it's going to chew through the battery so fast.

Battery use

NZstealox on

App has been using a bit of battery running 24/7 in the background. Would it not be possible for the app to be activated by push notifications when an event is triggered? Over 5% of my daily battery usage is from this app running in the background. iOS 14.5 iPhone 12 Pro Max

Impossible to register details

Vincristine on

Fails at the upload certification stage. Can’t upload a phone reverts to asking first name and fails each time. Previously was registers

Verification

Healthcareassistant on

I’ve heard it’s a really good app, I have my CPR Certificate but it takes ages to get verified like over a week and I still haven’t.

Live-saving app!

goodsam review djsn on

This app alerted me to a cardiac arrest just down the street. I was able to provide CPR and the patient made a full recovery. I would never known without the app... My only gripe is that provides you with a person on a map, not a written address which can prove difficult to find (especially in apartment blocks, multi level bridges etc).

Good app but not perfect

ge8211 on

I have had a few alerts from this app. Its real time alerting of CPR incidents near you. The only downside is the information that comes up and is displayed with the location in maps often not correct. Drove around for couple of mins trying to find CPR Patient where the pin was showing on the map only to have an ambulance fly past about 5 mins later and stop about 4 houses up the road. Needs to be better accuracy.
