Does anyone ever beta test?

Potentially great app but on my iPad it leaves me cold. I don’t know what to expect and can’t work out how to interact some of the time. Don’t give up but work on it some more please.

Not user friendly

Loving this app, the amount of info it has and the detailed photos of the works really makes this app a great tool but unfortunately the UX on iPad is not great, there isn’t a back arrow/ button when you go from artist to artist so I keep on having to go to Home and search the artist all over again (it also doesn’t save your last search on the search bar) which becomes annoying if you were far down on the works. A small detail that changes the whole experience. Besides that, awesome app.

Great concept but many issues

Potentially a very useful app let down by many issues. 1. Ignores murals which are key for many top artists like Giotto or Michelangelo. 2 Can’t search the artist by name. 3 Artwork should be sorted by importance, Van Gogh should show starry night, starry knight on the Rhone, sunflowers etcetra first instead of the key artworks being scattered among hundreds of paintings. Same for Botticelli and many others. 4 No sense of scale which is key, the Spring of Botticelli seems very small and insignificant while it’s a large artwork. 5 Top artwork like Monna Lisa or The Wave should be highlighted and easier to find. 6 plenty of inaccuracies like the main Van Gogh sunflowers is at the National Gallery. Overall it could be an amazing tool for art lovers and students but it needs plenty of improvement to be useful.

Lots of fun and very interesting!

I’ve had so much fun playing all the games on this app! It provides me hours of entertainment. I’ve also learnt a lot about art, and this app has helped me discover so many artists that I would have never heard of otherwise.

Incredible free app

This is an amazing free resource to get up close and explore the finest artworks in the world. I am an amateur artist and use this app every day for inspiration. Thank you Google!

Great for accessing art

I’m an artist and I can like my favourite paintings, search for others that are recommended to me and study and be inspired by them. I use this and with m children, particularly when there was an interactive painting of Kandinsky.

Fantastic

I’ve been using this in conjunction with BBC radio 4s Moving Pictures series. It’s absolutely brilliant being able to view the pictures in such amazing resolution. Thank you for producing this and making these works of art available for us to see, in so much detail, from our homes.

Pet portrait doesn’t work

iPhone crashing

Sadly there seems to be a bug and it is crashing every time

Crashes every time I try and use it

I have an iPhone 13 and it doesn’t work. Very disappointed
