Google Family Link is a parental controls app that helps you keep your family safer online. With Family Link, you can:
Establish Digital Ground Rules
• Set screen time limits — Family Link lets you set downtime for your child’s device and time limits for apps, so you can help them find a healthy balance.
• Guide them to age-appropriate content — Approve or block apps your child wants to download. Family Link also allows you to choose the right YouTube experience for your child: a supervised experience on YouTube, or YouTube Kids.
Manage and secure your child’s account
• Protect their privacy — Permissions management in Family Link allow you to make meaningful choices about your child’s data. View and manage permissions for websites and extensions accessed through Chrome as well as apps downloaded on your child’s device.
• Secure their account — Family Link gives you access to manage your child's account and data settings. As a parent, you can help change or reset your child’s password if they forget it, edit their personal information or even delete their account if you feel necessary.
Stay connected on the go
• See where they are — It’s helpful to be able to find your family when they’re on the go. With Family Link, you can locate your children on one map, as long as they’re carrying their device.
• Get notifications and alerts — Family Link delivers critical notifications including when your child arrives or leaves a certain location. You can also ring devices and view the device’s remaining battery life.
Important Information
• Family Link’s tools vary depending on your child’s device. See a list of compatible devices at https://families.google/familylink/device-compatibility/
• While Family Link helps you manage your child's purchases and downloads from Google Play, they will not need approval to install app updates (including updates that expand permissions), apps you have previously approved, or apps that have been shared in Family Library. In addition, purchase approvals will apply only when your child makes a purchase through Google Play’s billing system and will not apply to purchases made through alternate billing systems. Parents should regularly review their child’s installed apps and app permissions in Family Link.
• You should carefully review the apps on your child’s supervised device and disable those you don’t want them to use. Note that you may not be able to disable some pre-installed apps such as Play, Google, etc.
• To see the location of your child or teen’s device, the device must be powered on, recently active, and connected to the internet through data or wifi.
• Family Link parental controls are only available for supervised Google accounts. With supervised Google Accounts, children get access to Google products like Search, Chrome, and Gmail, and parents can set up basic digital ground rules to supervise them.
• While Family Link provides tools to manage your child’s online experience and keep them safer online, it does not make the internet safe. Family Link can not determine the content on the internet, but it can give parents the opportunity to make decisions about how their child spends time on their device, and determine what path to online safety looks best for your family.

Stay away from this nighmare!!!!
As someone mention before we are now hostage of google and this apps… can not remove apps without loosing google email account and everything.
Worked great for 2 months until we had to replace my daughter chromebook (warranty issue). We can not remove the old chrimebook from apps. All times setting is devided by 4 (her device appear 4 times (error during installation of second chrime but but unable to remove extra device)) child run out of time after 10 minutes for a 40 minutes setting. Now it s it and miss and all over the place. Am constantly giving extra time, the purpuse doesn t work and now it s just annoying. Removing devices should be a simple function!!!
Update; to remove this apps you have to delete your child google account. This account was created before the apps and is use for other stuff. This is outrageous!!!!! This stupid apps take controls of your child google account and force you to delete it if you want to loose the apps. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS NIGHTMARE

Après avoir essayé de comprendre cette app, après des heures de rage, j’ai décidé de retirer ma supervision parentale. Mais oh surprise on ne peut pas retirer un membre de moins de 13 ans sans supprimer complètement son compte. Je suis prise avec !
Full of bugs
I usually appreciate Google products but this one is so immature and it gives the feeling that is left to sink…
Like actually made so stupidly
Ok so I have it for my tablet but during downtime my wifi shut off so when my father went on his phone to unlock it it didn’t register becuase it disconnected to the wifi and u can’t connect to the wifi for some stupid reason. So my tablet was locked. And when my father tried to do the parent acces code it didn’t work becuase the password changes evry fricken 2 minutes so it didn’t register for the new password becuase of the wifi issue. So ya it’s now locked forever until I go to a place and pay money to reset it.

Even though I tried to remove my account from Family Link it didn’t let me even though I’m successfully over the age requirements. I tried several times but still couldn’t get a solution. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Would like to see more improvements..

Does not let you use non Gmail Google accounts. I usually prefer Google over Apple but on this one Google really missed the point 👎 Apple iPhone family screen time is way better to monitor your children!

Місяць тому моя дитина грала цілих 0.5 секунд на століття через це вона спортила собі зір на -1488% тому я захотіла скачати їй цю програму щоб вона become nerd але у неї стався психічний маразм і вона почала їсти своє гімно а потім обригала весь під’їзд а далі її IQ настільки впав що вона стала Іваном Золом а через декілька днів вона пригнула з 69 поверху з кружкою води думаючи що вона зробить “water drop” короче їй капзда і я как настоящая мать не буду збирати цей лего конструктор.
