SHAPE RECOGNITION
The shapes you draw are automatically closed and straightened, all basic shapes are instantly recognized. The lines you draw between shapes are automatically turned into connections thanks to our shape recognition magic.

STENCILS
Some diagrams require more advanced objects. Grafio provides thousands of shapes that you can easily drag in from the library. In addition, you can embed images from your Camera Roll into shapes and connect them to your other shapes.

AUDIO RECORDINGS
Recording audio notes to your shapes can be a way for you to collect your thoughts and include them in the finishing product, or as a reference.

Items do not show up correctly

When selecting items and placing them on canvas, some parts disappear. Scaling is buggy.

Buggy and unnecessarily limited

The undo functionality doesn’t work on every action/change and occasionally stops working altogether. Auto canvas size only extends down and to the right, if you drag anything beyond the top of left canvas boundaries it simply becomes invisible. Organizing line connections is very limited and inconsistent. You can’t manually move a connection point to the other side of a shape, only by rearranging the shapes themselves, or by changing the line type (in some situations). Sometimes simply trying to get a line connection to run horizontally between shapes flips the line label upside down. And when you select multiple connected shapes and resize or move them, line connections occasionally randomly reset to their original path. No groups within groups. So any mildly complex shape (including many stock shapes) or cluster has to be ungrouped, reselected and then grouped again constantly. Often resulting in individual elements of shapes accidentally getting pulled apart. Just to name a few things…

Not intuitive

Each time I have to search how to add text and keep the font size the same. To complex, not for my use (drawing in online meetings).

It’s a pain in the butt

Simple diagrams are really easy to make, that’s for sure. But tweaking and finetuning (such as moving, reconnecting, line-label tweaking) is almost impossible. It’s frustrating repetitive and angering resetting to the default settings. I’m now using Diagrams on the Mac. Much better!

Nice app but requires a steady hand for making rectangles

wanted an app for quickly making diagrams with the pencil. works intuitively but my drawing is not steady enough to get rectangles (the shapes mostly snap to some weird curly version of a rectangle)

Good app to create visuals

For my work I need to create a lot of visuals. Therefor I tried Grafio 4 and I was very pleased about the app. The app helps visualise complex matter in to easy graphics. I find the tool very intuitive and fast to work with. However, when I try to create a grafio on a Google Drive folder, the app crashes at the first action. I am using an iPad Pro 11”. Additionally, after creating a drawing, I find that the last version of the drawing is not saved in the sourcefile. It seems that a couple of steps are missing, when compared to the exported PDF-file. How is that possible?

The last update caused loss of all my documents that I worked on in Grafio for over a year. Very displeased! UPDATE: the app costumer service restored my documents successfully 🕺🏼!

Winner!

Fast, intuitive and allows for solid flowcharts within minutes. After trying out various other apps, this one’s definitely a winner!

Ontsnapt uit de tekenprogramma’s

Na eindeloos prutsen in tekenprogramma’s eindelijk iets gevonden dat compleet intuïtief precies kan wat je wil! Superhandig. Wat ik nog mis is een eigen kleurensetje die je kunt toevoegen en lettertype zodat ik kan aansluiten bij de huisstijl van het bedrijf waar ik werk. Verder super handig. Later toegevoegd: na overigens vlot antwoord op feedback bleken eigen kleuren en font inderdaad heel eenvoudig toegevoegd te kunnen worden. Top!

Very good and fast for creating diagrams and more

Using this one a lot for infographics, diagrams and simple drawings for within presentations. Some of those can be done within PowerPoint too, but this simply gives you more control and export options. The Apple Pencil support is also a pro here.
