I've had the problem since three months that I can not log into my gwr account, which works totally fine on the website. When you click app support you can only complain, but nowhere to turn for technical support. Saved at the wrong end. Will use Flixbus next time.

Effectively useless for non-UK phone users.

For no good reason this app doesn’t work outside the UK, so if you’re flying into the country and want to book a train from the airport you’re out of luck! There’s no information about this in the App Store and the error message only refers to a “technical problem at the moment “ You’re better off booking a bus or Uber. You can book those from outside UK.

Can apparently only be used with UK phone number or UK Wi-Fi. This makes the app totally inconvenient

It’s still not possible to login if you are not a UK Resident. Poor service from GWR.

Frankly, the app is total s… It refuses to work on non-UK networks and mobile numbers. I could NOT buy/download tickets while outside of UK and I could NOT EVEN download/buy tickets while in the UK but on a foreign phone number. The only way to use this app, if your phone is non-UK, is within the UK on a Wifi connection. This is frankly the most inconvenient travel app I have ever experienced. Because of it we almost were without tickets going from PAD to Penzance (if not for some really helpful staff at PAD who printed our mobile tickets). The railway services were great but the app really stressed us out in the beginning and we are really hoping that GWR finds a way to lift this totally nonsensical geo restriction. There is simply no good reason to disable the purchase and download of tickets through the app and I have yet to find another railway company in the world that has such a restriction in place.

I bought GWR tickets online for use in the app - but the app won't let me log in due to a "technical issue" so no idea how I'm going to travel without being able to load the tickets (worth over 150GBP) into the app!

I cant log in. There‘s always just this message popping up ”We‘re sorry but we cant complete your request at the moment due to a technical issue, please try again later“ On iphone 7 and 12 mini

Unreliable, logs off faster than any other app. When off, doesn’t allow access to any ticket information and it’s all cloud based. Ignore 5 star reviews, they push users for reviews at moments when they are unlikely to give an honest review. This app is poorly designed and executed from an UX perspective.

Would like to have some more ‘joint’ stations or options. Eg Bristol parkway and Bristol temple meeds listed together as a preference.
