How much does Guardian Feast cost?
Guardian Feast has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is 90.25 ₱.
A few suggestions: avoid resetting the app when you leave the app for a short while. Sometimes when I leave and return to the app, it reloads to the homepage rather than staying on the recipe I was using.
Second suggestion: not sure how popular this would be, but a planner for when you are going to cook particular dishes? I have saved a lot of recipes and it’d be nice to organise these into a schedule. Rather than having to scroll through every time to find the recipe I want to cook.
Minor change would make a big difference
Generally, the app is pretty good. Nice range of dishes and new ones being added regularly. The main complaint that I have is, despite needing an account to use the app, anything that you save as a favourite is not linked to that account.
It is a small thing, but it means that the app I have on my phone, which i use for adding favourites things while I’m out and about, and for checking ingredients when doing the shopping, is not connected to the app on my iPad, which is much more usual in the kitchen, with the bigger screen.
All it means in real terms is, I have to search for things I’ve already favourited, and add them again on my iPad, but it just feels like a bit of a misstep.
Clunky experience
The app feels ‘cheap’ for lack of a better word. Animations are choppy, sometimes random things happen while scrolling, like opening a recipe or the keyboard popping up.
Another subscription on top of existing Guardian
I’m already paying over £100 for the Guardian, why do I have to pay again for the same content?
Great app
Used a cookingwithZainab code and got 4 weeks for free. Lots of vegetarian friendly recipes I’m excited to try!
Fantastic resource poorly executed
Wont be using the app, not user friendly. perhaps its designed primarily for use on a phone. It natural and prime home should be on an ipad. A single screen should suffice for image, ingredients and instructions in most cases, not over separate screens, the app graphic does not need to occupy so much of the screen. Poorly thought out, no doubt designed by individuals who don't cook. Duh!
Brilliant!
I love Feast magazine but could not store and sort easily to hand all the wonderful variety of recipes. The app does it. Lots of recipes. Easy to find. Great variety of chefs.
The Best Recipe Book
What an amazing idea ! I love it , love it, love it ! It’s having a recipe book of the world at your finger tips and with contributions from so many amazing chefs. I have been looking up ideas and cooking several meals in the week from this and it has my first port of call.
Save it! Save it!
Lots of new vegetarian ideas using in season vegetables and fruit. Easy to save your favourites.
Excellent app
Really enjoyed using the new Feast app. It’s the first recipe app I’ve used and it is very user friendly, well thought out, and so far has an excellent evolving list of recipes
