Best Gym App I’ve Tried So Far
Easiest to use app I’ve tried so far. Good interface and runs smoothly.
Only two complains that make it not as user friendly for me…
1. You can’t superset with cardio exercises and I don’t understand why. Surely I’m not the only person who sometimes supersets with jumping rope, sprints, etc.
2. When looking at my workout “summary” (a list of the exercises in my current workout) the first exercise in every superset is missing which means I have to pause and exit the workout just to look at what’s up next.
Just what I needed!
I landed on this app this morning when I needed a weight training workout to do in my hotel. It was super quick to figure out how to navigate and customize everything like reps, sets, and reordering the workout itself. I’m super excited about this and look forward to seeing what the premium version offers.
Review
I love this app because it helps me lose weight
Might be good
The app looks like it has potential but everything is behind a pay wall. Would like to tinker around before committing. Offers a free trial but still don’t want to go through the hassle of canceling if I don’t want it. Also would like to see a one time payment instead of a subscription base model. My current fitness app I’m using was $100 lifetime access. This one is $60/year. For now I’ll stick to my current one.
Love except one thing
This app is easy to use and I’ve been using it for over a year. The only thing I don’t like is that you can’t add cardio to your supersets which is a bummer. I use jumping rope and sprinting in my circuits and wish I could include them in supersets and record them for less than a minute.
Not what I expected
I wish I could cancel the subscription I purchased yesterday. It says 59.99 and charged me $80 and it is not what I expected. I wanted a “workout planner” which is what is in the description. I don’t want to have to select exercises and create my own workout. I don’t need an app for that. I wanted something that takes the brain damage out of it for me and creates workouts. There are 4 pre made workouts and they are beginner and it’s just the same workout repeated twice a week. That’s pathetic. There are so many other apps that do more.
No
Don’t get this you can only make 2 folders for workouts without paying
App crashes
The app crashes the second I hit start workout every time. Please fix it. I’m also unable to send a message via the chat feature
Really Like it, Could use a couple improvements
Overall, I really like this app. My favorite feature is the GymLoad feature (I think that’s what it’s called) that gives you a visual representation of what you’ve worked out that day, over a few days, or the whole week. This feature is super helpful to me as a beginner to help me see if I’m missing any areas, or hitting areas harder than I should be. It also lets me plan as the week goes on by seeing a visual representation of what I’ve done and what I still need to do. I also really enjoy the library of exercises to choose from. Again, this is super helpful to beginners that don’t know where to start because you can choose the area you’d like the hit, select what equipment you own or have access to, and see a huge list of exercises to complete in that category. You can also use the advanced filters to choose targets such as biceps, shoulders, and glutes instead of just searching by arms, legs, or back.
There are a couple things that need improvement, such as being able to edit your reps mid-workout. I’ve tried to adjust my reps mid workout a couple times, but there’s no way to change for an individual set if you’re doing a superset or set of multiple, unless I missed it. Recently, I created a workout that was much too difficult, and had to cancel the last set of my superset, and it marked the whole thing as 0 reps, and 0 lbs. i wish there was a way to edit the workout in real-time, so that you can accurately see your results at the end if you have to change anything. But if you do change anything, make sure to change it the first set so it’s accurate the whole way through.
Problems downloading workouts
I rarely write reviews but this app’s basic functionality of downloading a workout is not working. When I click download I get a message saying that the app failed to download the workout file correctly.
