Mixed
I think in general it works in terms of the overall point, tasks. However, the game part is pretty trash. There is no way to be sure if you are ready for a fight or if you are under leveled, so you can only try and find out. The problem is if you lose, the consequences are ridiculous. You lose what seems like a percentage of your gold, so the more you have the more you lose. It’s a pretty high percentage too, like 15 - 20%. Even running counts as a loss.
For comparison you make very little completing tasks. It’s not a surprise though considering one of their monetization methods is selling gold, meaning they are incentivized to make sure it’s hard to get but easy to lose.
Kind of cute. Nice music
If you’re expecting a good rpg, lower your expectations, but the graphics are cute and the music is nice. It is a little confusing how to play the game sometimes and progression is tough.
Love it
Thos is honestly what I’ve been looking for - great for tracking habits and game at the same time
Has potential…
Basically a to-do list you set yourself. With the simplicity of the graphics, they should have more variety in the character customization. You can basically only be a knight, archer or mage, so you will only ever use 1 or 2 of the stats.
If being used for fitness, you could program a randomizer so the user can input multiple exercises and have the tasks randomly set each day.
You could relate the skills to different types of stats. For example, reading and learning would attribute to the intelligence stat. Physical exercise (excluding cardio) can be strength, etc.
I could go on, but that may change the app too much.
Nice App
Great idea for keeping track of habits.
Mechanics make no sense
The ads after a while get annoying. when you click from any menu back to the map you are hit with ads. More than that, there is no point to upgrading your defence after a certain point. It seems that the monsters all have a minimum damage value, otherwise a monster with 11 attack shouldn’t do 4 damage to someone with over 80 defence. If you only use it as a habit tracker it is good, but the rpg aspect leaves a lot to be desired.
Helpful so far
I’ve only been using this app for a couple of days but it has been helping motivate me so far.
Habits made fun!
My sister and I were talking the other day about how we wished that life could be like a game where you get exp points for doing your daily things and you can work toward quests etc… Then I found this app and it is exactly what I was hoping for. It’s simple, but fun and I get experience points for brushing my teeth and working out! My little avatar is already at lvl 4 and decked out with a new sword and shield! Good stuff!
Ok so far
Not bad, but I feel had potential
Pretty good
Switched to this after my previous gamified schedule builder broke. While completely different this works just as well, and also has a competitive aspect that might just be enough to motivate me through my bad days.
