A vast majority of the app works well. However, I have a significant issue with the lacklustre haptic feedback from the shutter button. I’m frequently taking selfies in sunlight, which hinders my ability to see the screen, and it’s confusing to determine when the app has recognised I pressed the shutter button. The regular iOS camera app does it very well in informing the user when the button was pressed.
Why the app is free on the store if you need to pay to use it?
Disgusting practices.
Even if they say that they notice the App is paid after a seven days free trial , it’s obvious they know a lot of people download it without paying attention. And even after many complains , they don’t change anything. So it’s clearly a lure.
It should be forbidden on the App Store for a free app to be downloadable, but upon entering the app, one can only use it by paying.

It was a great app, but the idea of subscribing for photo taking is stupid. Will keep my version 1 purchase up to some point and back to the stock app.
Always updating and with good support. I hope it always stays like this! It could have a long exposure function and not have a separate app for that like they did, that way it would be a more complete photography app. 😒
I used to ONLY use this app on my iPhone 14 Pro Max throughout 2023, but ever since I updated to iOS 17. It’s completely useless. My phone MELTS. Battery OBLITERATES in seconds. Seriously, you guys are lacking some serious optimization work. It’s almost like you’ve been busy doing it for iPhone 15 lineup and completely forgot the 15 one. I’m so so sad the way Halide is getting worse on my phone. I’m ao frustrated about having to ditch the best camera app for me (at least it was).
