Halide lots of potential but slow to load
I use Halide since iPhone 5s. It has lots of advanced Pro features. But with recent updates espexially iPhone with multiple lens, the loading time of the app is too slow to be camera app I would use everyday. 5 seconds for it to be ready on iPhone 15 Pro Max. compared to less than a second for stock iOS Camera app.
Not just the best app, but the best support too!
Top-of-class app design and ongoing development. The app is responsive - and so are the support team. They speak photographer, so they know what you are talking about. It’s a breath of fresh air.
Disappointing
I purchased the full version with unlimited lifetime updates. They changed the rules so I’d have to pay again. Don’t trust this company.

Great to see an app that keeps in touch with their customers and describes updates fully and I, for one, really appreciate the comprehensive information. 😁
Wild boasts. Poor delivery.
What a surprise to find that a camera app claiming to be so advanced can’t even do something as basic as adjust the aspect ratio. I feel completely ripped off with an annual subscription that I find a few days after buying it the camera is really unusable for composing shots. I’d suggest you look at other camera apps that at least include such necessary features.

I contacted support. No reply. Two weeks now.
No Way to Know what it can’t do.
I was hoping Halide could do 48mp RAW on my iPhone 15, but since this can only be done with ProRAW option (I don’t have that option available) RAW photos are just 12mp making it worse than Lightroom and I just find it having a unintuitive UI. Not worth my money.
Great app, fair pricing
An incredibly polished and reliable app. I bought the original version and got a handful of new features for free, even though the developers switched to a new subscription model. Fair. Much appreciated!
