The content is well produced and aimed at introducing people to meditation. There is limited scope for progression beyond twenty minute meditation- I guess by then ideally you should not need a guide.
Without doubt the best teachers on any app, being Joseph, Sharon and Jeff. Possibly too many teachers at this point? Definitely life changing for me, but my problem with mindfulness without values apps (which are pretty much all of them) is it’s missing a fundamental piece - okay I’m noticing my thoughts and building focus and discipline, now what? Not asking the app to prescribe set values - that would alienate people, but could probably draw from emerging Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help people align with personal values. Loving kindness is a good one. A course on values would be awesome as without that, people battle to stick to meditation habits long term…
i have been using ten percent for about 3 years and have noticed that since the latest update with the monthly check in, i’ve been using it significantly less. i really wish they would do away with the monthly check in and return the homepage to what it was before the update.
All this money for a meditation app
You need to email to cancel your subscription and since it’s not through Apple Store you won’t get a notification, all of which is a dark pattern to charge people. Not recommended.
…but, please remove the compulsory monthly check-in or at least make it optional. It can be intimidating and so becomes a barrier to using the app.
It’s the one app I use every day. Really helps remind me to be gentle with myself, or at least to not give in my attempt to be gentle. I so much respect and enjoy Dan’s interviewing style. Very grounded. Great teachers. And Dan’s liberal use of swearing is music to my ears and makes me smile.
I thought this seemed like a lovely meditation app Signing up they were asking mindful questions and seemed to really care Then wanted $164 hardly a spiritual experience charging so much money when petiole don’t have it It think it’s really shameful to be charging that much
Great for beginners and experienced meditators with some of the best meditation teachers, lots of variety. My daily companion
