Highlighted: Book Highlights

I love how it captures accurately those I highlighted on my book. I hope this can be saved either in iCloud in case the app crashed. I’m quite hesitant to continue adding my highlight as it has no way to backup my data. Widgets also are very useful. This is a great app and has a lot of potential. Keep improving!

I loved using this app for a while. Until I got on a plane and realized this app needs service to make highlights. Now I live somewhere where I don’t have connection often, and I can’t even save highlights now.

This app is truly magical. It recognizes text flawlessly. It lets you highlight across multiple pages. And you get to decide if you want those highlights to be combined into one block or separate. Everything just works and does so intuitively. Best One Trick Pony Ever If you read books you have to have this.

[UPDATES TO ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW] This is an amazing, clean, well designed, easy to use, and useful to have app; it’s a benchmark for what most apps should be like but come nowhere close to achieving. Kudos to the developer for a job very well done. The ability to organize notes by official book title, grab multiple highlighted sections of a page all at once (instead of one by one), link text to specific page numbers, and add individual notes are all incredibly helpful features. The ability to cut and paste multiple disjointed sections of text at once makes this app vastly superior to apple’s native “live text” feature (as well as any microsoft office product). It’s a simple feature, but one that adds tremendous value. At the moment, there are only a few additional features I can think of that would make this app more effective in its purpose. The first would be the ability to automatically identify and copy any manually highlighted portions of a page (or better yet, a group of pages in a batch of uploaded photos!), to include instances where there are multiple disjointed highlights on a given page. That to me is the killer feature no existing notes or highlighting app that I am aware of currently offers (inexplicably so), and it would be a *massive* time saver for users who rely on a combination of analog and digital note taking (which in my humble opinion is the most effective way to digest information). The only other useful but less important feature I would love to see included is an ability to format (underline/boldface/italicize) portions of copied text after it is extracted from a photo. There are lots of instances i would like to keep track of specific phrases or sentences inside larger segments of text, and the ability to format would be ideal for that. Would love to hear from the developer on when/if those features might be included!!! Regardless, keep up the good work!! EDITS/UPDATES: After a fair amount of use, there are some additional features/ enhancements that would make this a near perfect app. (1) as noted above, the killer feature of automatically grabbing highlighted text from a scan by default is unfortunately still missing; I recognize it is probably not the easiest feature to implement and would require retraining the underlying model, but it would make this or any competing app considerably more powerful and useful. (2) I would agree with some other reviewers that the underlying model probably needs to be retrained to include mor

I love this app it’s simple, easy, and straightforward, but works great. I like that it automatically highlights the sentence. I also like that automatically finds the page number. I like that there is a note and tag function but that this app isn’t trying to be something that it isn’t. I love that it exports to markdown which is great for those obsidian note takers. Lastly and most importantly I love that it is actually free. Like this might me the only app on the App Store that is free and doesn’t have in-app purchases. Please keep it that way. If you want to add additional features that I have to pay for then great but thank you for keeping the rest of this free. Oh and also not having annoying ads… I literally recommended it to a friend right after saving my first quote.
