Highlighted: Book Highlights

This app has literally changed my ability to study . I have numb hands and arthritis and holding a pen is painful . This allows me to collate all my notes and use them effectively , share with friends and tutors . I can’t praise this enough . Thank you !

I really appreciate this app. I hardly rate applications but time to make an exception. I also appreciate the fact that - as a refreshing change - this app doesn't nag for payment and/or filled with adds in exchange for being free. Paradoxically I would be happy to throw in a few pounds for it? Maybe add in a "buy me a coffee" link?

Highlighted is perfect for students and anyone who is using printed media for research. it is simple effective and free.

This is one of those ‘if I could give it six stars, I would’ reviews. I don’t review many apps and I certainly don’t go around telling friends about new ones. This is an exception. This app has single-handedly changed how I do my research and work. It can be hard to explain the benefits without using it, but I will try. Highlighted: - let’s you capture text that, on a paper version, you might have used a highlighter or underlined; - text capture is simple and accurate - using your phone’s camera; - let’s you capture the text you want to keep from any source - paper copy book ✔️ Kindle/e-reader version ✔️ magazine / journal ✔️on screen text (e.g. iPad or monitor) ✔️ - is therefore a single platform to save text snippets from all sources on all media. The only thing it can’t do is add from audio books (but, even here, you could add manually if you wanted everything in one place); - has useful and intuitive cataloguing and tagging features - the source can be tagged so you can group quotes from different sources and the quotation can be tagged. You can also star particularly useful / relevant / interesting quotes. The absolute cherry on the cake of this app is the ability to share text. There are loads of times that I come across a quote that I want to share. It never occurred to me to use the camera to do this (I don’t know why), but Highlighted’s share function is great. Also, if you want to post to social media, it will automatically create a nice quotation card. Thank you so much for this - you’ve made me very happy!

Easy to use, exactly what I was looking for!

I have been using it for about 2 years now and I love this app. It is so simple to use and yet it is so functional. I now have quotes from all the books that I’ve read and highlighted popping up on my widgets on my Home Screen. This really helps me to remember and recall what I’ve read or come back to it later when discussing it with someone. I love that the developer of this app doesn’t ask for money or personal information. It’s not often that I write a review on the App Store but this one feels like such a gift, and I’m very thankful to the developer for making this!

I am blown away by this app. As a part time OU student juggling family, work and study, this app saves me so much time in not having to re-annotate all my highlighted parts of my text book! Thank you so much! I love the tags which enable me to sort things so much faster. Can you add a section in ‘book author’ for collated texts with more than one author?

Incredibly useful app. I’ve got over 500 highlights, and it works perfectly.
