It takes a really long time to connect to my oven. I have heaps of smart home apps and this is by far the slowest. Also it’s not very intuitive and the screen is cluttered with useless garbage. Some simple fixes would really improve this app.
The instructions in the Quickstart guide to connect my Dishwasher with this app did not work because after scanning the QR code I was given instructions with a step two that said “Press * button for approx. 5 seconds.” The * symbol above was a rectangle with some curves. There is no such button on the appliance or in the app. The instructions are wrong for this model of dishwasher. Consequently, the app is a useless waste of time .
Can’t believe this app is rated 4.7. It’s completely useless. I repeated the instructions a dozen times, changed my router settings as instructed, and this app refuses to pair my appliance, recognise my high speed internet connection neither 2.4ghz or 5.0ghz. Certainly Bosch would be searching for an alternative solution as they would be inundated with complaints. Turf Home Connect and wait for an alternative.
Since the recent update on app, bosch oven is disconnected from home connect app on iPhone. Keep trying to connect but keeps coming up with error code H1086. Tried deleting app & reinstalling app. Nothing is working. Fix this buggy app with another update.
How can I get may dishwasher to wash the dishes and then do a rinse cycle to remove any remaining soap away?
The app is useful when it works. However two major drawbacks: - need to be on same wifi as oven to connect - push notifications randomly stop working, and I can’t work out how to make them work again. They’re really useful when they do work (you know when the oven has finished or finished preheating), so when they stop it’s pretty frustrating. Have checked settings etc etc.
The app is useful, I use it for my dishwasher, but it has always been very cluttered & confusing, far from intuitive. Once you work it out it’s okay. I guess the point is it shouldn’t be hard to work out but it is. Anyway… the latest update has actually made the important function of using timers more difficult. The time slider bar is very small and difficult to use accurately with too few increments. You often end up thinking you’ve set the start time but instead you’ve set the end time. The bar needs to be made bigger with more increments so that it is as easy to set as it was in past versions. Users shouldn’t have to adapt to a very poor quality interface.
Used to work for 2+ years. Then Dishwasher randomly removed from “My appliances”. No longer connects to re add it, just fails the search/discovery process. Useless. Is also the only way of determining rinse aid is low from the machine (no light).
Bosch dishwasher can never connect to this app. Either the app or the dishwasher is lousy. May be both. Hopeless
