Over verification and Delay!!!
Has fraud gotten so bad that I have to give 7 pieces of info when asked to call in? Geez… took 5 mins just to get to a point t where she sent me a code to give her just to tell me when they needed me to call. Also, HFCU requires me to write “electronic deposit only” on a check to deposit it? What if it doesn’t go through and I have to walk it in or take it to another bank? Regardless, just causing delays. I am doing it now. She said it will be on hold for days before I guess it can be applied to escrow. Deposited this check initially yesterday. Received a text for me to call you regarding a matter. Waited on hold, then had to provide identification and then a code via text just to find out why you called. Only to determine that it was because 3 words weren’t written the back under my signature. All said and done, still have a hold placed on the check to verify its authenticity and that funds are available. It’s a corporate check from your competitor. THIS IS TOO MUCH.
