How come you are unable to add a proper notifications like other banks? i.e. money comes to account, the customer gets notification. Hello?? Simple!!!

Poor service

The app functions ok but the service is poor particularly for international matters. Phone lines sound like pre World War II quality, the help I need is often misinterpreted and the processes involved to move or access my money is nothing but red tape. I will be closing all my accounts as soon as I get the chance !

Very slow, can activate debit card without getting an error

Very poor customer service with credit card problem

We received no support when airbnb took us for a ride and we didn’t receive a booking that we had already paid for and hsbc offered us no support re goods never received on our credit card. This was over 2,700 paid on a booking that we never received.

Updates always required?!

“Faster and Simpler”, except that every time I launch the app I am required to update it! Please consider doing less “feature” updates less often and if you must fix a security problem, fair enough... but it is neither faster or simpler if you are going to let out an app that requires constant updates because you don’t test it properly, or your marketing people insist on “great must have new features”!!

Prettier, but doesn’t show pending transactions

This new version of the HSBC app available in AU is MUCH prettier and has a more user friendly interface however it does not differentiate between pending and posted transactions. It only shows the pending under details as a “total hold”. In addition your “available” balance is not readily shown and you must go into details to view it. For me, those are two of the most important banking aspects to be able to access and view with clarity.
