Somehow this app never works

Frequently when I open this app, I get a message that something has gone wrong and I should try again later. For a bank with no brick and mortar stores with in person customer service, I had higher expectations for its online services.

Citi Australia App

Citi is by far the best bank Australia offers for personal checking and savings accounts. The only thing the app could provide is a photo check(cheque) deposit feature so each check you receive doesn't need to be taken to the National Australia Bank which you must go into the branch as their ATMs only allow their customers deposit checks via their ATM machines. This is difficult as banks in Australia have the most appalling Branch staff numbers and their hours are unmanageable for anyone that has. Job. 9am - 4pm is outright a disgrace. All banks should be mandated to 9am - 6.30pm or 8am - 5.30pm

Incredibly slow, outdated, bad UX, OTPs won’t send internationally. Basically unusable. Why didn’t you just use the same company that designed and developed the US app? No idea how this app has 4.6 stars at time of writing.

No pasting password

I use a password manager like 1password because I like strong passwords. This app does not allow me to use those strong passwords without having to slowly type them out and go back and forth. Preventing good security practitioners instead of promoting good practices Troy at HaveIBeenPwned has talked about the poor form this is.

No mobile check deposit!

No paste on password

I use strong passwords and this app prevents pasting passwords. I don't have time to type it. You'd think a strong passwords would be Good thing. I'm sure they'll argue "security", but their website allows pasting so clearly there is internal disagreement about clipboard security. Instant delete for sucking at user experience.

Out of sync

I see differences in my account balances when I check my account online versus on mobile app. Citi also seems to have INCONSISTENT timeframes of when deposits show up from other banks.

Old app commands an update, which then tells me is no longer available .... 🤔 and I can access old app as it tells me to update and closes down if I select later. Not very helpful Jan .....

This app is so not helpful and the new interface is nowhere as good and convenient as the previous.
