Hurricane Tracker For iPad Reviews

I use it every Day, having a boat in Cape Coral Florida .

Dlp500tc on

United States

I am moving it to one of the best Hurricane Holes in South Florida, west of Stuart on the St Lucie River close to Indiantown were there are locks to keeping out of the title surge with some wind barriers. My my boat has survived three Hurricane including Ian the hit Cape Coral with a 20’ Tidle surge and made land fall a Cat 5, in some areas. You App is the best. I recommend it to everyone in my area.

Too many ads and pop ups to upsell user. This is new this year and very annoying!

FLappleuser on

United States

I am a long term user of this app and agree with all of the other users. All of a sudden this year they have started with a frequent barrage of ads trying to upsell you to their subscription model. The entire non-hurricane season there were constant push notifications to get you to pay. I bought this app and only want the basic features but DO NOT WANT a constant annoyance of pop ups and push notifications.

Dont like ads when Im a premium customer

Good info, but really annoying ad when I am a paying premium customer.

The app kept me updated on Alberto

Catg508 on

I like this app because it can warn people in a spot where the storm is going to like hurricane Ian hitting Florida so I think every single device phone,iPad,watch should have this app

Lifetime Access

Trying to purchase Lifetime Access, but code won’t go to my phone.

Too many pop up adds

Used to be great but now trying to upsell you with push notifications every day….ugh

Premium Notifications Are Excessive

PH0T0 GUY on

United States

I used to love this app, but lately the developer uses notifications as a form of marketing for their Premium Service. That is a “cry wolf” or false alarm. I am a commercial pilot who likes to keep up on tropical weather patterns around the World. So you can imagine how frustrating it is to get a notification weekly for their premium service. Annoying. So I turned off the apps notifications and then I wondered why I would even keep such an app. So I deleted it and use the free government services instead.

Great App.

Have used it since Sandy and its predictions have not let me down.

Paid upgrade is confusing

SMU Control on

United States

I paid for the upgraded graphics. Was emailed a confirmation with my user ID and password. There is nowhere in the app to enter a user ID or password and the app keeps promoting the upgrade that I already paid for. Using the “Contact” link in the app sends an email that is rejected with a “Mailbox full” error, but it actually goes through. Got a response from them saying that if you buy the upgrade in the app, then you’re automatically logged in. You can verify this by selecting the Premium tab. It’s all very confusing. As others have said, the content is great but the app is far from user friendly.
