I Love Film Reviews

Would be nice to get an update

WaveyDavey001 on

Really nice set of filters to apply to any photos in the library. Also has a feature where you can take photos in app and see the filter applied in a live format. Alas on the modern pro phone the app doesn’t currently support all of the lens options such as Macro, 0.5 the 3 formats of 1x and the 5x optical zoom

Please update the app

I bought all the filters, but the application does not work, the iPhone 12 pro and I can not select any photo, it does not respond to anything where it wants to click, it turns off by itself. Even after update my all problems on IPhone still the same, app just not spond.

Great app - but now there’s a problem

IanSharp58 on

I was really enjoying working with different types of ‘film’ on my iPad, to the point where I was ready to pay for the pro version. The recent update has broken I Love Film on my iPad Air though. The app refuses to open. The iPad runs iOS 12. This app claims to be compatible, so I’m stuck. I have emailed the developer, but no reply so far. If I’d written this review before the update it would have been five stars. Now the app is unusable so it has to be one. I’ll happily revise my review if I can run the app once again.

Far better than VSCO 👍

Marshallllb on

What a great film simulation app. I’m a long term VSCO user who’s turned their back on them since they monetised their app and removed a load of presets and adjustments I’d paid for. Didn’t think I’d be able to find something to stand up to their admittedly great simulations but this knocks it out of the park for a very reasonable price. Can’t recommend it enough, easy to use and very high quality filters which are fun to tweak. Seriously great app here and deserves to be a massive success 👍👍👍

Love this app, but..

.. would really love an iPad version. Although the app runs absolutely fine on iPad, there is a lot of wasted screen estate as it is just the double resolution iPhone version. Any chance of an iPad version?

Convincing grain

Casdfet on

United Kingdom

Using this app and the dark room for years now, the grain is like real and does remove the pixels easily creating a nice „print“ image. It’s the only app I know so far creating convincing results.

“I love film” that can’t edit film?

the danny kelly on

United Kingdom

It’s just a basic photo app and does not edit film or movie formats

Doesn’t save the right picture

DannyAspinall on

United Kingdom

When you save the photo to camera roll it doesn’t save the same version as in the editor - shame as the filters and features are great!

Lost my purchase?

chocolatebeanz on

United Kingdom

Paid for the full thing a while months ago and it was definitely worth the money and I love spending hours editing my photos on this app. However I’ve just come onto the app and it’s telling me I need to pay a fiver for the full version and half the filters are now locked. Pretty gutted as I’ve already paid for it before.
